Right now as you can see the pattern out there right now with a lot of clouds and scattered rain showers, the rainfall we picked up today not a big deal. Light to moderate rainfall on some cells out there coming in closer to show you right now we do have green on the radar right now. If youre not covered with the green at least you would have some of the midst or the drizzle. Now we are all getting ready for tomorrow. This is a flood watch posted all the way through monday until 4 00 a. M. Tuesday. Covering the entire region. The rainfall rates will be verified, which will be likely this would turn into a flash Flood Warning. Here is our live camera looking out towards san francisco. I watched those cameras shake around a little bit. The winds are approaching 45 to 50 miles an hour. As a result the wind advisory is in place right now roughly for the same time frame right on through tuesday morning. Rainfall we have a big range to work with. Two inches all the way to right around eight inches of rain for the coastal hills. The winds of 50 miles an hour and with all that we are going to have some problems here tomorrow. Flooding additional mud slides and Power Outages out there paying us a visit. Its talking about that near a plume. You can see what happens. This is 5 00 a. M. Monday all directed towards the bay area. The challenge is trying to find out exactly where this will be playing, it could be the Santa Cruz Mountain or san francisco. But what you cant see is it covering the entire region. Coming up well break down the rainfall totals across the entire bay area. North bay, Santa Cruz Mountains and most of the inland areas. The last storm shut down not only the major roads, but also the smaller roads leading out of ben loman. A lot of the people work in santa cruz and they couldnt get to work or they couldnt come back here to do work because all those roads were shut down. Right now highway 17 is down to just one lane on the northbound side. But so far the smaller roads around the area are still open. Its the raining like this that will be showing all day. People are hoping at least the smaller roads leading out of town will stay open. Reporter homeowners brace for yet another storm when they barely recovered from the last one. We have a huge redwood tree in our backyard and a big limb fell down and hit the garage. Weve had a little flooding. My husband is working on the bathroom right now working on the damage. A couple weeks ago the roads were a problem and a lot of ouractors work in santa cruz. And they will come up here to ben loman for rehearsal, which was rather difficult. The manager had to book a hotel room in san jose just to make it to work. It would take one to three hours to get to san jose. The rain also caused landslides. South bay road was closed. The local cal park was force the local park was forced to close. I would drive to work in santa cruz. Almost every day i have had to reroute myself because of a limb being down or roads are closed or something. Reporter but the show must go on. Well the cast and crew for that production say they are good to go for their Opening Night of march 10 because the actors who are stranded in santa cruz all met up and they did their own rehearsal. Businesses in coo caloosa county took on a flood risk there. Floodwaters reached several feet in some areas forcing 200 people to evacuate. Now the people in the town of maxwell are faced with the clean up as another storm approaches this evening. Sandbags are being prepared for whoever needs them. But many people feel at this point they will not provide much protection. Take you now to Southern California where at least five people have died in what is being called the most wrenching storm there in years. Police in Ventura County say a man in his 20s was swept away by creeks on friday. In San Bernardino one person was found dead in a fully submerged car. And sherman oaks, the 55year old man was electrocuted when they hit his car. And two people died in Car Accidents in san diego. Emergency officials are focused on the oroville dam as their next storm approaches. Right now managers say the flow from the oroville dam Flood Control spillway continues to outpace the in flow from this coming storm. The brief break in the rain gave them time to check on their debris pile and to dredge those areas. Work continues around the clock below the spillway to make repairs to damage created by emergency spillway runoff. Campus Police Responded to reports of a shooting near south third and east carlos street around 3 30 this morning a block away from campus. That is where they would find the two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Victims were taken to the hospital and they are expect today survive. So far tonight no information has been released about a motive or possible suspects. The white house chief of staff today went on the sunday morning talk show to defend President Trumps repeated criticism of the press. Yesterday mr. Trump called the media, an enemy of the american people. As garrett tenner reports those remarks drew harsh words from a key senator in their own party. In the meantime the white house says President Trump will sign a new travel ban executive order some time this week. The Administration Says they do not plan to pursue a court fight over the current executive order, which was halted by a federal judge in seattle. And that order temporarily banned immigrants from seven predominantly muslim countries. The president previously vowed to fight their order in court, but the administration now says the president wanted to avoid, time consuming litigation. Well it was on this day 75 years ago when president roosevelt signed an executive order, paving the way for the incarceration of japanese americans. Today National Historical societies would hold a day of remembrance to mark the somberer anniversary of the prison camps. It blasted off at 6 30 this morning from Cape Canaveral and for the Company Owned by elon musk since the explosion destroyed a rocket and damaged the launch pad. And as you can see right now they are getting their act together offshore and it will be a narrow plume of moisture and they are traveling thousands of miles across the pacific just focused over 700 miles of the width over the bay area and the Central California and Northern California as well. Today we had scattered rain showers showing up over portions of the morning hours. Right now theres not a lot to show you on radar. We have clouds in place with some mist or drizzle, but we want to stress this Flash Flood Watch i should say lasting all the way through monday until tuesday 4 00 a. M. When the rainfall rates do pick up and verify this will turn into a Flood Warning or possibly a flash Flood Warning. Winds are already increasing as you can see right now. Winds are out of the south out towards oakland. Thats sustained at 22 miles an hour. We do have this wind advisory until 5 00 a. M. Tuesday out towards half moon bay. Winds are gusting to 31 miles an hour. Looking outside our camera, looking outside the bay bridge and over san francisco, mostly cloudy skies. This camera has been wobbling around a little bit as well with those winds kicking up. All increasing from the south. So the monday storm and the president days storm is flooding lightly with some powerful damaging winds as well. Well have Power Outages here in the bay area and a lot will be happening for tomorrow beginning first thing had tomorrow morning. Rainfall intensity at 6 00 a. M. , 9 00 a. M. , 12 00, all heavy, even to the afternoon hours by 3 00 and by 6 00 and then after 6 00 we will probably begin to scale back on the intensity. So by this time tomorrow we should have things starting to improve. It wont be an instant improvement. Heavy rain at 7 00 a. M. That is where the sky cast is showing and the same deal at 12 00, then into the afternoon hours more rain and still some strong gusty winds as well. So as far as the projections we have a lot of rainfall to talk about these numbers that will go up in a few spots because you can see we are talking about inland areas, two inches, Santa Cruz Mountains, possibly eight inches. You can count on more mud slides there and the coastal hills up in the north bay of six inches. Here is the deal as you can see right now that moisture plume is approaching the bay area as we would come in closer right now. As we talked about heavy rain all day on monday with no breaks, probably not until this time tomorrow. And we will have to keep an eye on the number of the rivers and the streams out there, possibly topping their flood stage for the rushing river and the coyote creek area as well. This is the heavy rain, first thing tomorrow morning youll see the e youll see the yellows and the oranges moving around quite a bit throughout the day. Count on heavy rain at 5 00. Then by tomorrow night at this time we will scale back on the coverage and the intensity. Wednesday maybe a few showers out there and then a chance for a few drops on friday and saturday and the biggest concern, guys, it is coming up for tomorrow.
