And i think this speaks to one of the more underrated aspects of this warriors club, not only is this roster littered with terrific players, these are good high character guys and kevin durant is going to fit right in. I was at home with my kids this morning when we heard it before 9 00 this morning, we were surprised when we heard hes coming but we also learned they are losing bogut, barnes and is easily. But now the news that maybe we know who is going to replace bogut . Right. Word from yahoo sports that zaza pachulia, formerly of the match mavericks will sign with golden state for the mid level exemption. It will be 2. 9 million and again cant be official until later in the week but hes not a big score but doesnt need to be. He plays good defense and i think can contribute. We were talk over the weekend talking over the weekend about the free agency frenzy. Ive never seen anything like it. Have you . Nobody has. The nba salarycap went through the roof this year. So Much Television money coming in that the cap went up and not only can teams spend it, they have to spend at least 90 of the cap. So you see guys who are superstars get crazy silly money. You are seeing guys who were frankly mediocre pedestrian players still get 50, 60 million contracts. So it is crazy. You are not imagining it. When it came down to it, durant could have made a little bit more money staying with o. K. C. When it came down to it, wasnt all about the money. No. It is refreshing. Here is a guy whos got a 300 million nike shoe contract, hes going to be okay. But had he signed a oneyear deal with o. K. C. And then the fiveyear extension could have netted about 225 million. If he does the same drill with the warriors, signs for one year, voids the second year which he can do and then a long trivial, he can max out at about 175. So theres a difference but when youre talking about that much money yeah. But it does Say Something about him and his character. Sure. And he wants to win. He knows he can win here. He can be happy here too. If everybody stays healthy, were all going to be happy. Thank you, scott. Speaking again of durant, his mom took to twitter approving of her sons move out west. But its going to be chilly especially in San Francisco, oakland, alameda, san rafael. The fog right now is deep. When i say deep, over the coastal hills. Already shooting into oakland and alameda. So you know this time of night when you are getting that kind of fog push youre going to have a significant fog footprint about the time of the fireworks. The deck will be high enough, fireworks will go off underneath it without a hitch. As i said earlier thats a good thing because the fireworks go off here and you get reflectivity, off the bay. A really neat Fireworks Show and the fireworks guys love that. They like this weather. If the inversion were shallow, down to about 800 feet, then wed have have a problem like we saw last week. Anyway, fire danger is down, fireworks are going to go off, take a jacket. Fog over grizzly peak. You can see it coming over the top there, thats indicative, about 800 feet. Reporter at fishermans wharf, folks were bundled up in red, white, and blue taking in the sights and families eagerly anticipating the big show and a celebration of americas freedom. Today is all about independence. And i am a disabled vet. And i cant explain that, its just a special moment. Just a special moment. Feeling your country and all. Growing up we had so much fun with fireworks and its just a tradition we want to pass down to our kids. Its once a year that you can just be around so many people and enjoy what this great nation has to offer. At aquatic park by early afternoon, dozens of families had staked out their ground at one of the best viewing spots along the waterfront. By the time everybody gets here, its like walltowall people. Back here live at aquatic park, thousands of people already here staking out their spots. Tonights show in San Francisco is scheduled to last for 23 minutes again, showtimes start at 9 30. Its probably crazy trying to drive down there. Are officials recommend if people want to come down take b. A. R. T. . Reporter Public Branch rotation is absolutely one of the best options.
