Investigators say faulty wiring is likely to blame for a freak accident in a Swimming Pool that killed a tech executive and left his nine yearold daughter in critical condition. James tramel, an executive from hillsboro was with his family in palm springs on sunday when he noticed his daughter turning blue in a backyard Swimming Pool. Tramel jumped into rescue her and was electrocuted. The girl was revived interest to the hospital. An expert who has repaired pools for more than 40 years says these accidents are rare. Its not very common and its usually neglect from the homeowner or somebody working on it that probably shouldnt be. A former stanford athlete was found guilty this afternoon of a Sexual Assault on campus. 20yearold brough turner was convicted of three brough brock turner was convicted of three counts of Sexual Assault. Turner faces up to 10 years in prison. He had been a star summer and hope to compete in the olympics. The das office says changes are now being made to improve the process of preserving blood used as evidence after two recent failures at the countys crime lab. The marin county da says with the Death Penalty off the table, each of the defendants is eligible for a sentence of life in prison without possibility of parole. A group of convicted sex offenders challenged a new federal law requiring them to carry specially marked passports when they travel overseas. The challenges being heard by a judge in oakland. The group claims the law violates their Constitutional Rights and puts them and those with them in danger by stigmatizing them with what amounts to be a Scarlet Letter on their passports. It shows a man in a red shirt approaching a dog inside a walgreens into san francisco. He kneels down, puts it, picks it up and walks out of the store. The owner was in the store picking up a few items. He turned around and all of a sudden his dog was gone. He couldnt find his dog named catfish. Reporter this is catfish. He is half chihuahua, half poodle. He went to the store manager and asked him for some assistance and they were able to pull some Surveillance Video and found a suspect had stolen the dog and walked out of the store with him. Reporter heres a picture of the dog napper. He was wearing a red shirt, camouflage pants, and was last seen with the dog in his hands. Technically, dogs are not allowed inside the store and catfish is not a service dog. Its unclear if the dog has a microchip or tags. The dog was also not on a leash the owner often let the dog walk around freely. Reporter i asked if it was possible the man thought catfish was a loose dog but police say he never went to talk to the store clerks and there has been no reports of calls to report a found dog.
