A scary time for everyone involved. Getting bigger and bigger and the next thing you know it is on the roof and the Fire Department shown up. And trying to put out the fire and it spread to the pumps and i know two of the pumps exploded. The bureau and the occupants in the gas station did the right thing and hit a switch off of the gas pumps that eliminate the hazard. The only hazard was to the property. And that was the very quick thinking of the people at the gas station and to connect the burger king. They did what they needed to do to shut down the gas pumps to make sure the fire didnt get any bigger than it was. We found out from the owner of the shuttle bus that they had a very experienced driver and the bus had been inspected and a long time trying to figure out what caused the fire. John, any word as to how long the gas station is expected to be closed. On the right side, pan over and you can see a couple of the gas pumps are ready to go as long as there is no damage to the infrastructure. Awhile before they get the two on the left back into service. This is one are those things that i have been on the scenes where you had a car to knock out one of the gas pumps and it has been weeks before it gets fixed. They are certainly working on cleaning it up and want to mention by the way that only one firefighter suffered a minor injury. Nobody else. John sasaki reporting live in San Francisco. Thank you. It happened at 1 15 in the afternoon on winding way and Windsor Drive and no one in the home at the time of the crash and the driver was injured and taken to the hospital. Witnesses say the 18wheeler came barreling down the street and rammed into the house taking out the living room and the master bedroom and bathroom. The truck took down a power pole as well so there is no electricity to many of the homes in the neighborhood. The truck driver said his brakes went out as he tried to negotiate turn and he ended up slamming his truck carrying a full load of dirt into the home. Standing in the back of my boat and i heard a big rumble and anticipated a big truck but this was louder and faster and i looked at at it to see it going through the house. The daughter of the people that own the home say this is not the first time someone has plowed into a parents house. Two years ago an suv crashed and barreling missed her mom. The c hp said the driver, Ulysses Gonzalez is being treated at the hospital for moderate to major injuries. The latest victim of the car shooting at interstate 80 have been identified as 39year old leslie graham, jr. The chp said there was strong ties to gangs and happened near the exit and one of 7 freeway shootings since early november. Police say someone shot at the jeep early saturday morning. His jeep then veered off of the free way and rolled down a steep hill where he was from announced dead. The c hp saying minimal risk to bystanders because the shooters are targeting specific people. At least one local mayor does not agree. The freeway is not for target shooting. The freeway is for transportation. I expect the ch p to do their Due Diligence and protect our public. The 7 shootings, two people have been killed. Now to richmond where police are looking into a shooting that killed a 14year old boy. Paul chambers tells us that the police chief says that boy may have been targeted. The hurt and pain of losing a loved one can be seen on the faces of many in richmond. He never sassed his momma or his parents. You know what you are on the streets and you know anything may happen. You know anything may happen. They were like hes dead. And i was like what do you mean he is dead . And they just kept telling me he is dead. He saw a Large Police Presence investigating the shooting of his friend xavier mcclanahan. The Richmond Greenway was called at 9 30 monday morning. It send a message to him and his associates and we brace for it. Officers were alerted of the shooting for several hours. Police and a canine unit searched the area. A nearby school was in a lock down situation as police looked for the shooter. A man asked to not show his face as he heard loud gunfire and his neighbor claimed the man tried to break in to her home. Tried to get into the gate and house and took off and thats when he took off. He was a good kid. They have a word of advice for others. Keep your kids close to you and know where they are at at all times. The reason the man was not in school because he was suspended from kennedy high school. The police have not released information about a suspect. If you know anything bit, you are asked to call police. In richmond ktvu. A search is under way for someone that was swept out to seas during high tide. The coast guard says there were multiple calls to 911 about a person that was last seen going under the surf after two this afternoon. The coast guard dispatched a helicopter to search for the missing person. In the north bay investigators are working to identify a mans body that washed ashore this morning. Someone on the beach called 911 at 8 15 to report a badly decomposed body south of salmon creek. There is suspicion that the body could be that of missing attorney steve mitchell. His car was discovered near a beach in jenner on february 14th. Investigators say he left a note indicating he was going to commit suicide. A civil suit filed by andy lopez shot and killed by a sheriffs deputy in 2013. A preliminary hearing got under way for three santa clara deputies accused of killing a jail inmate. Rafael rodriguez and Matthew Farris and jerry ubron are accused of murder of 31year old Michael Tyree. Prosecutors showed pictures of tyree in vomit and feces. They say he was beaten to death. What they were trying to show by the timing is that Michael Tyree was in a locked cell when the three deputies went into that cell block so nobody else but the three deputies could have entered the cell. All three have pleaded not guilty to murder and assault charges. Another lawsuit has been filed in the effort to derail the Golden State Warriors arena project at San Francisco mission bay. It was filed by the Group Mission bay alliance. And the mother of a pediatric patient that received treatment at Childrens Hospital at u c Sf Mission Bay campus. The Medical Center is one block from the project site and some opponents argue that arena would affect how easily they can access the Emergency Care at the hospital during games and other events. The lawsuit argues that city officials violated zoning laws including a voter approved initiative that puts caps on office space allocations. Not on our ground. A powerful message from the Golden State Warriors taking part in an off course mission to end bullying has rob roth reports that they are teaming up with bay area high schools to fight bullying. They do have a time out. Curry right on task. While the golden gate warriors are on a mission to repeat as champions they are on a mission to end bullying. Warriors guard Sean Livingston joins the High Schoolers from San Francisco and oakland that took a pledge to do their part to end bullying. It is important for kids to know they can be themselves and have dreams and goals and not just to what is cool or popular. Livingston said he was never bullied but when he was younger did not do enough. Not standing up, i think that was standing me down the path. Comes as the Alameda Council approves limiting rent increases to once a year. A man was about to blow up an relative humidity with his grandfather inside. Relatives call 911 at 7 saying their nephew crashed a car on the familys property in the santa cruz mountains. They said they may have Mental Health issues. When officers arrived 30year old carlos ramos had a knife and gas and telling deputies to shoot him. They evacuated people and shut down the Lakeside Elementary School for the day while they tried to talk ramos into surrendering and they say ramos started a fire. He actually did pour gas on the ground where there were propane gas tanks located and next to the propane was an rv that was occupied by his grandfather. Deputies say they used rubber bullets to disarm him and extinguished that fire before anything blew up. Ramos was arrested and will face arson and weapon charges. Unearthed by erosion. Waves in ocean beach in San Francisco are revealing parts of the city that have not been seen in decades. Some date back one hundred years. Tom vacar gives us a look at what has been found. The storm driven seas that erroded San Franciscos beach all winter recently uncovered an old stone stairway and seawall and part of a tunnel that ran under the great highway and not the first time but rare and much more revealing. One time i saw the wreckage of the sea that i have not seen before, just the remaining site. A large beam. Long time area resident had never seen the seawall. Things that were not here before, you know. That is under the sand. But make no mistake here at the foot of the street one must be careful. It is unstable and full of metal and just like the sneaker waves. The city replenishes the sands but rising levels seem to be doing more damage. It is working more quickly nowadays and in time and things erode. The fact is that erosion is a fact of life out here and always has been. In fact 20,000 years ago the west coast was 27 miles more west in a place we now called the fairlon islands. Once a year theres maintenance problem but i think they need to do it more often. At the projects staffers are putting one hundred thousand historic voters online. Quite a few are of ocean beach at the time and recently uncovered steps were built in the 1920s and the seawall built in the 40s. We have seen pictures and things popping up. The most unusual things were put there during world war ii when Construction Materials were not available. At the time they were dismantelling the cemeteries and that is what they dumped on the beach. If you come to look be extremely careful. Tom vacar, ktvu fox 2 news.
