There was a possibility, a feeling of maybe a mass shooting i saw people running, screaming. There was a man who went in front of the train to block the train because a lot of people were, like, so shaken up and scared. Reporter trains continued to pass through without stopping but the station closed while Police Worked over night. The killer was purposeful in terms of waiting until we got to west oakland. He fired his shots and got off the train. Reporter and slipped into the crowd escaping police for now. There are surveillance cameras and investigators will review them. Though, the victim appears to have been targeted, thats cold comfort for some regular bart riders. Ive never heard of a shooting on the train. Im glad i wasnt on the train last night. Its unfortunate to hear that. Anytime you have a tragedy, its obviously a scarey situation. Reporter the suspect is still out there tonight. So that suspect is described as an africanamerican man with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a green hooded jacket, blue jeans with red and black bookers. He had tan military style boots and he was carrying a backpack. Well you mentioned those surveillance cameras. We know how critical releasing those photos can be to helping capture someone. Do we have any idea of when those images might be released to the public. Reporter we dont even know if there are in fact images of the suspect. We know there are surveillance cameras all over the station, inside the station and even on the trains so they are going through those videos to see if there is anything useful. I asked them earlier today if there was anything that maybe we could show people to say this is what he looks like, this is who they think the suspect is so you get some sense of the build and what he might have been wearing, but right now we dont know if they have anything useful to share with the public.
