Department. Reporter we asked the sheriff to respond with an on camera interview but were told that he was unavailable for comment. His chief Legal Counsel did issue a statement saying, quote, the sheriff is not required to carry a firearm bey state law. If he does carry a department firearm, only then does he fall within the requirements. The sheriff is allowed to practice like any other deputy if he chooses to practice. He is not required to meet the departmental requirement for call if i indication. The sheriff is basically saying that hes above that. Reporter captain adams believes the sheriff will not suffer any fallout from his failure to carry a gun but she hopes the public will have the last word come the november election. A security supervisor at a hospital is facing charges of sexual assault. The 33yearold was arrested yesterday. Police say he posted an online ad for a modeling job and a 23 yearold woman from vallejo responded. He reportedly told her that she needed to pass a medical exam as a condition of employment. Police say chow posed as a doctor and sexually assaulted the victim in a utility room in sequoia hospitals parking garage. Police say chow tried to do the same thing to an 18yearold on the same day but that she got suspicious, left, and then called police. If you live in the san ramon area you may have felt a series of small earthquakes. There have been more than two dozen so far, all clustered around the Crow Canyon Country Club east of 680. Weve had in the past swarms that lasted several months, and so, you know, a swarm that lasts a few days, it doesnt really raise our eyebrows much at all. Police in san jose say that street racing was like toll blame for a crash that killed three teens last night. Officials were scheduled to change the locks this morning but the owners declared bankruptcy, freezing any eviction procedures. Were still in negotiation with the port, and thats why we filed a reorganization, not for money or anything, but to try and get the port to rectify the wrong doing. Reporter the cofounder says the restaurant has enough cash on hand to pay its bills and pay workers. The port of San Francisco has been trying to remove the restaurant for more than three years to make way for a new Ferry Terminal project. The port says sinbads fell behind on its 24,000 a month rent and was well within its rights to begin eviction proceedings. We had planned for the eviction at approximately 11 30 this morning. So that has been canceled until we go through the process of bankruptcy through the court. Reporter sinbads lawyers says the restaurant wants to keep its doors open as long as possible. The entire purpose of the filing was to try and preserve the status qoa. Despite the fact the port and sinbads are still duking it out both sides do seem to come together on one issue. According to the San Francisco chronicle the group is demanding that uber hike the drivers rate bey 60 . They also want the company to raise its minimum fares from 5 to 7, and they want a tip option. 1200 drivers said they will participated in protests starting friday outside of ubers offices in various cities including outside its headquarters in San Francisco. It produces a lot of moisture that will intensify storms that just lingers around waiting for something to make it rain.
