During a preliminary hearing in marin county, sean angold described how he and the two defendants went on a drug infused crime spree last year. Angold already pleaded guilty to seconddegree murder in exchange for testifying against Lila Alligood and morrison lampley. He says that the three of them befriended 23yearold canadian tourist audrey carey at ocean beach before luring her to Golden Gate Park to rob her. He said that lampley was the one who shot and killed her. All in this business that he is talking about that you can see he has put himself in the path of the position and that it is not the way it went down. Thats when they targeted steve carter who is found dead on a hiking trail in fairfax and his car gone. Testimony at this preliminary hearing is expected to end tomorrow. Now to San Francisco where civil rights advocates are demanding the District Attorney file charges against several Police Officers involved in deadly shootings. A new York City Police fire chief was killed, michael fahy and his team were responding to a report of a gas leak on the street evacuating neighbors when the house exploded. But it is something that you can put in your lungs as small as that there and even smaller, but they could cause problems. Thats the haboob thats happening right now near phoenix and just pretty spectacular photos of that. So air quality district have concerns for these areas south of san jose over not just tomorrow, but over the next couple of days. That fog will push inland tonight and now begins the cooling or continues the cooling, which we all know is happening because you see the fog. Theres the fog forecast for the morning. Not deep, but enough to get into the bay and enough to really cool things off. Thats significant cooling for tomorrow. So no records tomorrow, no air quality, no central bay area quality issues and no heat advisories. The inversion is now change around as this low pressure comes in to expand that inversion. It will also help with that smoke down into the Santa Clara Valley from the fire because it will give more of a vertical mixing. This happens over the next couple of days. So the story is that today was warm and hot and tomorrow will be cooler. Then when the cooling continues really into your wednesday, thursday, and friday. The forecast highs tomorrow 90 in fairfield. 89 in brentwood. 89 in antioch. So cooler nicer. It is im kind of glad that the heat wave is dying down as folks are happy that the fog is back there. I suspect that firefighters have planned for that, so they are setting their backfires and their trenches and what have you based on oh we know that the winds will come southwesterly tomorrow and they know that. The fires have a tendency to create their own pattern. Thats right,est terribly in especialfully that kind of terrain. New tonight at 6 30, a 4 yearold girl from china is getting ready to go home. One year after a trip to disney land took a very tragic turn. A drunk driver hit their car and left that little girl paralyzed during their trip. Ktvu Cristina Rendon reports that doctors and staff at Childrens Hospital have been helping her on her road to recovery. Reporter she knows life is unexpected. Speaking for a mandarin interpreter, her family arrived in the bay area last august for a vacation that would end at disney land. But a car accident changed their lives. It happened on the 101 freeway and there was a drunk driver who hit us from the back. My daughter was severely injured. Reporter a brain injury from the crash left 4yearold lu paralyzed from the neck down. At first doctors at Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital at stanford did not expect her to survive. I was frightened. Yeah, i felt that there was nothing that i could do to help my daughter. Our team really did a lot of work with her. Five to six days a week for months and months and months while shes here in the hospital. And then continued outpatient when she left the hospital. Reporter lee said she didnt expect the outpouring of support that would follow. The family stayed at the Ronald Mcdonald house in stanford while a caseworker Hailey Johnson helped them get Insurance Coverage for hospital costs and rehab. We also worked to transition all of her care to care in china. Reporter through a make a wish foundation, the family finally made their trip to disney lapped disney land to april. They cannot thank them enough for the care they received in the bay area. Im very happy that i can go home, but i really dont know how to say goodbye to all the hospital team. Im really grateful.
