Police call it a hex but attorneys say it was real. Ktvu fox 2 Tara Moriarty is joining us live from the home where it all started. Going back and forth again. Reporter yes. Attorneys for Denise Huskins says she has been a victim twice. First at the hand of her kidnappers and then vallejo police. She showed up around 5 00 last night. She left the Police Department after questioning with a jacket over her face. Investigators shielded her after portraying her two days ago as a faker. When they thought that egg was going to end up on someone elses face, they threw it on her. In fact, there is no egg whatsoever. This is a legitimate crime. Reporter huskins says her kidnappers freed her wednesday. She went missing from the home she shares with her boyfriend aaron quinn monday morning. Quinns Attorney Says their client has fully operated with the fbi and police. Giving them his fingerprints and password to all of his computer devices. He was forced to drink something that even the kidnappers told him was drugs. He was drugged and there was at least two kidnappers. Reporter quinn said he was tied up and submitted to a blood test, under went 17 hours of interrogation and is now in seclusion with his family. Huskins says her client did not know her kidnappers. Observers say it looks to have doubled in size yesterday. There are two vigils tonight honoring officer johnson. Next week they are organizing a raffle and silent auction for his family. Everybody is gathering and supporting each other as a family does. Colleagues of johnson are still until mourning. They say the public lost a great officer and they lost a dear friend. Coroners report shows johnsons partner fired the shot that killed the gunman. Petora is a 16 year veteran of the department. In light of the shooting, San Jose Police are on heightened alert. At 6 30 the Community Organization united vietnamese american neighbors will hold a candle light vigil on the block where johnson lost his life. Coming up on 4 35 now. This morning authorities are looking for a south bay inmate who escaped from jail but his brother has been arrested. Accused of being an accessory after the fact. Joseph carter was taken into custody. Investigators say he helped his brother Janell Carter after his escape. Carter was awaiting trial when he escaped from a sheriffs deputy during a medical appointment earlier this month. Authorities think hes left the san jose area. 6,000 reward is being offered. Were also learning more information about pilot that appears to have crashed a plane carrying nearly 150 people on board into the mountains and the french alps. Yesterday German Police searched the home. French prosecutors say he took control of that germanwings flight, locked the pilot out of the cockpit and flew it toward the mountain. Six years ago he received treatment for serious depressive episode and spent 18 months under going treatment. Since then he has passed all the tests so he could fly. Following the news about the action of that pilot, more airlines are requiring that two crew members are always present in the cockpit. Those airlines include european budgeteerlines budget airlines, norwegian. Now if a pilot leaves to use the bathroom, a Flight Attendant also here in the u. S. Must take his or her seat in the cockpit. Pilot testing is being closely looked at following that deadly crash. Aviation experts say right now psychological screening is minimal for pilots and they generally monitor their own mental health. Lufthansa say in this case safety nets did not work. Some San Francisco sheriffs deputies are on administrative leave this morning amid accusations that they ran an inmate fight club at the county jail. The allegations surfaced two weeks ago. The father of inmate Ricardo Garcia deputies forced their son. Now San Francisco public defender jeff played an audio interview with garcia that claimed he was injured during a fight with an African American inmate this month. The inmates named deputy scott neu, Deputy Clifford chiba along with two bailiffs involved in this alleged fighting ring. The u. S. Attorneys office is being asked to investigate the case. Ricardo garcia has been assigned to a new jail. He says the deputies allowed wrestling as horseplay to settle a dispute. The inmates were never forced to fight.
