On monday a big rig slammed into a closed restaurant on a railroad avenue in pittsburg and then burst into names. The driver of the truck was killed. The reports show that roby Trucking Company of vallejo has so many violations the chp was keeping tabs on it every 120 days instead of every two years. The violations include overloaded trucks, faulty steering and failing brakes. The north bay city of petaluma is struggling with a growing population of homeless people. Those what work at local Outreach Centers say it is partly due to the extremely fight rental market and a lack of affordable housing. Some of those homeless are also dealing with drug addiction. Police say there are about 100 homeless camps in the city, most in environmental sensitive areas near the petaluma river. This is where it ends up, on the waters edge and tumbles off into the river. And the struggle is to find someone that can come out and clean it up. Petaluma police are trying to find funding to set up a fulltime Homeless Outreach team to get the resources they need. A family of four was lost in the woods for 24 hours. They were located wednesday in Yosemite National park. When the family called for help, authorities had them send pictures of their location by text message. Officials tracked the family to a dirt road in an area known at youchilla mountain. They were a little shaken but otherwise fine. Firefighters raced to a home because an 89yearold man suffered a heart attack while mowing his lawn. Unfortunately they could not revive him but as police were speaking with the family inside the guys got busy finishing the work the man had started.
