According to one report, this is where a local shot and killed a former Business Partner before shooting and taking his own life. They were fighting over 1. 2 million loan and that may have prompted the violence. According to the press democrat, vintner robert doll shot his former Business Investor in the head here in this vineyard. That investor was identified as ahmad topless. Doll jumped in his suv and drove off. Leading authorities on a ten mile chase. As deputies closed in, doll committed suicide. Ultimately swat teams arrived. First thing they did is go up and clear the vehicle. And at that point the swat team from the Sheriffs Office here found the suspect inside the vehicle dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Reporter according to the press democrat the victim of yesterdays shooting had filed a lawsuit against doll accusing him of fraud. Topless Investment Firm loaned doll 1 million for his business called Patio Wine Company which was defunk. Doll used that money for different businesses. And shortly before the shooting yesterday, these two men sat down for a meeting in the morning to talk about this dispute. According to a paper the lawyer involved says the two men left that meeting agrees, to w out their businesses. In the meantime napa police are investigating two people found dead inside an apartment. Police have not released the names of the people by says the woman was 55 years old and the man was 66. The apartment manager says he hadnt seen either one of them in awhile so he called police to check on them. When they made entry into the residence, there was a distinct smell of death. They opened the door and you could see two people. Investigators say the bodies were probably inside the apartment for several days. They are considering the deaths suspicious. It is an extreme example of the housing crisis in San Francisco but a woman is told her rent is going up more than 6,000 a month. Deb follingstad received notice at the beginning of this month. Her rent is being increased from 2100 a month to 8900. Shes been living in the home for ten years. Im kind of second to my stomach. I dont know. There might be a word for feeling like its just so its shocking. It seems like they have done a lot of gymnastics and fancy foot work. Follingstad said she has been told the rent increase is legal because the landlord converted the building into a Single Family home by getting rid of the downstairs inlaw unit. The new increased rent represents the expanded size of the home. Follingstad said she hopes the tension on her case will result in legislation to prevent this from happening to anyone else. More than 1200 people held a sidewalk protest at the building on jefferson street against what they say are rent increases as much as 1400 a month. They bought the building in december. Tenants are being given a 60 day notice to pay the increased rent or move out. Were fighting back by letting berkshire know we are open to reasonable increases. But we are people. We are not commodities and these are our homes. We want them to treat us like that. The 37yearold man suffered injuries to his face but is expected to survive. He tells detectives two men demanded his wallet. He also says they started punching him and kicked him when he fell to the ground. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriffs Office. Today some fast food work earns in oakland plan to hold a demonstration to call attention to their working denies. They are under pressure to work faster. Workers have also been calling for higher pay. Oakland recently raised its minimum wake to 12. 25. But demonstrators want 15 an hour. A man was killed when his big rig slammed into an east bay restaurant and burst into flames. It happened yesterday morning. Witnesses say they could hear the truck trying to brake and down shift before it hit three cars and then crashed into the restaurant. Police are looking into whether the big rig had a mechanical failure. Witnesses also say the driver was honking his horn and flashing his lights. Luckily no one else was hurt. The big rig driver has not been identified. A father injured in a fire last week at his home in San Franciscos Mission District has died. Officials say 38yearold Mohammed Shaibi died with injuries related to smoke inhalation. His 13yearold daughter remains in Critical Condition and his wife and two sons continue to recover. They have not said if smoke detectors were working in the home. We are hearing from a Contra Costa County sheriffs deputy that ran on to a bus to help dozens to safety. The man accused of shooting two Police Officers in ferguson, missouri claims he was summited to Excessive Force during his arrest. A lawyer for 20yearold Jeffrey Williams says his client was bruising has bruising on his upper body from being beaten by police. But st. Louis county police say those allegations are completely false. Williams admitted to firing the shots that injured the two Police Officers last week but he said he was not aiming at police. Williams lawyer says he doubts that his client had anything to do with the shooting at all. Prosecutors are considering the Death Penalty for two men charged in the death of a bank robbery hostage in to beton. The District Attorney said a hearing yesterday that he will reveal the agencies decision in may. Ramos is the lone survivor of three suspects that robbed a bank of the west bank in last july. Police say the men took two Bank Employees and a customer hostage. The two employees were injured but survived. The customer 41yearold misty was killed during an exchange of gunfire with police. Ten people possibly exposed to ebola are being honored at a Treatment Facility in the u. S. Health Officials Say they were exposed by a colleague that was diagnosed with ebola at their medical aid group center in sierra leone. That American Health worker is in Critical Condition at the u. S. National institutes of health in maryland. The ten people that came in contact with that person are being monitored to give them access to Rapid Testing and if necessary treatment. They will isolate themselves during the remainder of the 21 day ebola inuation period. The increased number of people with Health Insurance is contributed to the availability of coverage under the Affordable Care act. Also known as obamacare.
