Reporter right, if every there was a day to hit the beach, this was it. There are a few people out here waiting to catch the sunset. Here at ocean beach there could be dark side to all the sunshine. Reporter here at ocean beach surfers road the waves. But the beach patrol warned people not to go in the water, it is too dangerous to be a swimming beach. Some people heeded the advice. Others did not. You can and if you know what you are doing. Reporter it was here last week a father and son were overcome by waves and drowned. That same day the beach patrol made two other rescues. Anyone who doesnt come prepared with a wet suit, a surf board, fins, we will try to approach them before they have gone in the water and warm them not to go in. The park Service Warns about the rip currents that make ocean beach dangerous and too often unforgiving. The most common cause of someone needing a rescue is someone who thought they would go into their knees, they get knocked down and pulled out by a rip current. That is why some people are careful. Ktvus katy eustis is in santa rosa tonight with a picture of the woman who police are trying to identify. Reporter police say a purse thief used stolen credit cards and they have Surveillance Video of her. This woman who is creeping into classrooms and targeting teachers. Reporter Elementary School student know the rules for visitors. They have to get signed in at the office first. So usually Everybody Knows who comes in and out of the school. But police say this woman does not follow those rules. She has been walking into unattended classrooms and stealing purses. It is unnerving news. It is scary the idea that someone is just walking into the classrooms. The first reported theft occurred on september 10. Six Elementary School schools the city have been targeted. The latest yesterday. Seemed frustrating it happened so many times. So easy for someone to get away so many times without anybody having an idea who she is. Reporter police are unsure if she is associated with the schools. Targeting teachers purses, a new low. They do it to teach for the children and it is taking advantage of that. Reporter employees say they dont recognize the woman but everyone is talking about the theft and discussing how to balance security with an atmosphere that is welcoming for students, parent and volunteers. When you are going to pick up your kids you dont sign in so there is a lot of people that can come and go. Reporter it is policy to lock unattended classroom doors. In santa clara a burglary turned violent when the homeowner was stabbed. A woman confronted a man who broke into her home about 3 00 a. M. This morning. When her brother heard the commotion he came running and that is when he was stabbed several times by the burglar. When officers arrived they found the victim inside bleeding. Officers say they found the suspect hiding in bushes nearby. They are investigating to see if he is responsible for a robbery and stabbing of a woman locks away an hour earlier. The District Attorney tweeted today they be the case against San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle ray mcdonald. Prosecutors are reviewing the case to decide whether or not to file charges or seek further investigation. All of this stems from ray Ray Mcdonalds arrest over the Labor Day Weekend for domestic violence. We have two confirmed cases of enterovirus d68 and it presents similar to the common cold. Enterovirus d68 is in the polio family and linked to polio like symptoms. She was two and a lung infection turned to paralysis. He says many children are eexposed to the exposed to the virus. This appears to be less severe. Reporter only a handful of children become ill. Any child with breathing problem whose develop limb weakness should see a doctor immediately but that is rare. It is a virus, we need to take it seriously.
