Millions of the dollars may soon be headed to undocumented College Students who are currently ineligible for federal financial aid. Under new legislation, california universities and state campuses would set aside 9. 2 million for undocumented student loans. The state of california allows undocumented students to apply for cal grants but students say they still fall short by thousands of the dollars. One lawmaker wants to close the funding gap by creating a new loan program. We think its important to put them on a level Playing Field so we give them the same advantage, the same student we give the same documented counter parts on campus. Critics worry why taxpayers should have to pay for students who are not in the state legally. Critics say that University Officials should be able to offer them loans.
