we're getting word of is there's a three car accident on southbound 880 near 16th street in downtown oakland. and that is causing big time traffic problems on top of that we told you just a moment ago 880 very bad especially in the southbound direction. city council meeting right now and discussing changes to their so called pot farm law. the alameda county district attorney warned the current law could violate state medical marijuana regulations. the city council could agree to cap the five permitted farms at 50,000 square feet. large scale growers could also be required to have a dispensary formally aligned with their farm. services for the elderly and disabled adults are the latest fight in california's budget battle sitting in wheelchairs. they are trying to preserve the $350 million adult day health care program. advocates say it keeps 37,000 seniors and disabled adults out of more expensive facilities. state lawmakers are pointing fingers at each other tonight over the state going to die as a result. the rate hike would reach 59% to some blue shield members. the insurance company says quote we are taking this action to remove any doubt that the rates we have submitted are necessary to pay the necessary expenses of our individual members. the marin board of supervisors approved so called golden parachutes for 45 county employees. the program is called the voluntary separation incentive program and it's a way to prevent lay offs by paying people to retire. workers with five to 10 years of service are in line for a $15,000 bonus while those with more than 10 years will get $25,000. the move will cost about a million dollars in all but it's hope that it will save marin county more than $6 million a year. white out conditions to sheets of ice cover from texas to
