I hear people are in the stands taking a knee or some refuse to stand up in solidarity. But unfortunately thats not what makes the news. Reporter we see nfl players on the field taking a knee but are fans in the stands also not standing up when the anthem is played . You stopped to take a picture but when the National Anthem is going to be played, are you going to take a seat . I dont know. Ill take my hat off of course and kneel. I believe its a good cause and now it just needs to continue and people need to be peaceful protesting. Reporter Dallas Cowboys fans also weighed in. Its their right. They can do whatever they want. I stand up for the flag. Thats why i live in this beautiful country. I support what he represents but i think he should do Something Different. Reporter even fans wearing kaepernicks number 7 jersey say they support him but cant join his National Anthem protest. I support my country 100 and i will take off my hat and hold my hand on my heart. But i believe in kaepernick. Reporter one demonstrator says the gesture doesnt mean much without the conversation. We would love for people to be able to take a knee but im more concerned with what they do once they get home. When they get home, do they google Police Brutality. Do they decide to start conversations on their own . Do they decide to speak out against prejudicial or racial comments made by others in their community . The protest was peaceful but also short before the game started today and the demonstrators say they hope the demonstrations of kneeling doesnt just rest with the Football Players on the field, that hopefully some of the media cameras will capture some people in the stands actually kneeling during the National Anthem. Several people including 911 dispatchers heard the gunfire right outside the building on gelindo spreet. Officers found one bullet hit the entrance of the building. Its since reopened. No injuries were reported and no suspected were located. A coast guard crew found the body of a kayaker missing in San Francisco bay. The remains were found by coast guard helicopter about 3 00 this morning near san mateo bridge. The kayaker put out about 4 00 in the afternoon with two other kayakers. The 38yearold man went missing near San Francisco airport and a search was started. Theres no word yet on a cause of death and the victims identity has not been released. The Faith Community in the east bay today opened its doors to members of the berkeleys first congregational church. That church damaged by the huge fire on friday. Parishioners were welcomed at the nearby First Presbyterian church for sunday services. Their building on channing way was gutted by fire. A Church Spokesman told us along with the tears, there was thankfulness for the congregations sense of community. Its an opportunity to dream. The building will rise again in to Something Different and Something Wonderful and were looking forward to that. Firefighter narrowly escaped injury during that blaze that may have been started by a work crew there on the roof. Theres no word yet on how long repairs or rebuilding right take. A New York Times article out yesterday cited a 1995 tax return that shows trump claimed almost a billion dollars in losses. The trump camp ape is not denying the report but said trump didnt do anything illegal. Hillary clinton went to church this sunday in charlotte, north carolina. Clinton attended services at the little rock ame zion church. Clinton was invited by faith leaders there to hear from Community Members and families. Racial tensions have been high in charlotte ever since the Deadly Police shooting of a black man named Keith Lamont Scott last month. So many fathers and sons and even mothers and daughters who have died either after encounters with the police or at the hands of civilians with guns while they were doing things that were ordinary everyday activities. Clinton called off the trip to charlotte that was scheduled for last week after the shooting because city officials said they had their hands full with protests there. We learned today that the data recorder recovered from the new jersey commuter train crash is not functioning properly. Investigators trying to find the second device. This all comes as the National Transportation safety board tries to get to the bottom of that crash. That left one dead and more than 100 injured. Reporter a federal audit of new Jersey Transit conducted this year reportedly found dozens of Violations Including trains over running switches and signals and lapses in safety protocols in train yards. The federal Railroad Administration had reportedly been considering enforcement action against new Jersey Transit prior to the Hoboken Terminal crash which happened thursday morning injuring over 100. Anonymous sources reportedly familiar with the investigation say the audit coincided with an increase in concerning incidents at the new Jersey Railroad which had seen 10 slow speed accidents this year and 25 accidents in 2015. From 2013 to 2015, new Jersey Transit agreed to pay nearly 335,000 in penalties for 33 violations of federal safety regulations. In this current investigation, 48yearold thomas gallagher, the trains engineer, was interviewed saturday, but the ntsb says we wont hear about the content of their sitdown until all of the other crew members are interviewed. An inspection of the tracks found nothing that would have affected the trains performance and there were no signal problems found on the tracks leading to the terminal. That approval could come in the next two to three years. But for potential trial patients like christine spiller, this drug could be a lifeline. If it means for me to get my life back, thats what it means for me. For me to live and not just exist, which is what ive basically been doing. Reporter the reason spiller feels this way is because of the stats. One of the studies looked at people with chronic migraines, meaning someone who has at least 15 per month. On treatment, a third of the group showed a 75 reduction in migraine headaches and about 10 , 1 out of 10, showed about 100 . They stopped having migraines. So its pretty impressive. The company said almost 16,000 of the model s vehicles and 8700 model x Sport Utility vehicles were delivered to customers in the latest quarter. Additionally about 5500 vehicles were in transit to customers but wont be counted as deliveries till the 4th quarter. Cal fire says the loma fire is 66 contained and has grown to seven square miles. The fire was started on monday, has destroyed 28 buildings including a dozen homes in the santa cruz mountains. Mandatory evacuations remain in effect for the Loma Prieta Ridge line. Firefighters say cooler temperatures yesterday and today are making their job a little easier but theyre also concerned about the wind picking up again and blowing embers in to unburned grass and trees. Monterey County District attorney is warning fire victims to watch out for scammers as they try to rebuild. Prosecutors say there could be several scams including charity fraud, price gouging, and insurance scams. So far at least one person has been arrested for sending out fraudulent invoices for fire extinguishers. Preparations are underway for the start of San Franciscos fleet week and earlier today a Landing Craft delivered supplies near the Bayview Boat Club south of at t park. The supplies are for a training drill set for tomorrow. In that training exercise, local agencies will team up with military personnel to practice how theyll Work Together in the event of a major earthquake. Basically bring all the first responders, all the Emergency Managers from across the bay area to train with the visiting Service Personnel so they learn from each other and they know what their capabilities are during times of disaster and theyll be able to help the communities when the big one hits. Fleet weeks biggest attraction is however the air show and this years organizers have expanded the air show to three days instead of two. The blue angels will perform friday, saturday, sunday at 3 00 each afternoon. Other planes and jets will also take to the air as early as noon on those days. In the wine country the 2016 grape harvest is well underway. The warmer weather last week meant cabernet and merlot grapes are starting to come off the vine. Rosemary orozco spent the day seeing the process start to finish. Sounds like youre incredibly pleased with this years outcome. Its been a fantastic harvest so far. Were about 60 done. How has weather played a role . Great. We started off very early. We started on august 8th of our sparkling wine. Then we had a cool august. And that kind of put on the brakes for a while and slowed us down. Then as you know we had 100degree heat in the first part of this week so that kind of got us all excited again and picked everything up but the vines and grapes have come through that heat wave pretty well. So the folks were out here picking all night long in to the Early Morning hours . Correct. The crews like to get started at night. Nice and cool for them. Then the grapes are nice and cool. Dropped off in the winery. Now we can head off to the winery and see what happens there. So 40 tons. Theyll knock out the entire 40 tons . Today. Yes. Our goal is to get it all in the winery by the end of the day. What is going on here . This is a very simple part of the wine making process. Very old process. Called the pump over. What were trying to do is extract all the flavor, the body, and color from the grapes. From the picking to the making and now to the tasting, you may be surprised to know that the winemakers actually is responsible for just about everything from the dirt to the bottle. Yep. Now were full circle. You saw how it was made. Now we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Cheers. This without a doubt is fabulous wine but there you say are years when youre not so pleased with it. Sure. There are vintage differences. If we have a cold year or a lot of rain in the vintage, fortunately in california we dont have to deal with it too much because we have a very great climate. Then its just a little extra work for us. We have more time in the vineyard, more time in the winery and kind of shepherded it through the wine making process and get every ounce of flavor of the grapes that we can. Its no longer customary to crush the grapes in this manner. The family gave me the opportunity and i couldnt resist. There she is crushing the grapes the old school way.
