Clark county Fire Department tweeting out overnight that strip. Most of them were medical and alcohol related. Although they did tweet earlier in the night about someone who had a heart attack. It was a rough night on the. Leading up to the new year festivities. Two people were killed in a rollover crash on the i15 near craig. This happened around 10. Nhp says the driver was speeding. When they lost control and ended up slamming into the median, rolling across 4 lanes. And then bursting into flames. The driver and the passenger were still inside. They were pronounced dead at the scene. No other cars were affected by the accident. Nhp finally reopened the roads around 2 this morning. Police officers say they were forced to shoot and kill a man, and this morning. Were learning why. Around 2 yesterday afternoon, us marshalls were doing surveillance on a man near di and durango. The man was wanted in arizona for multiple violent felonies. Marshalls called in metro for help. When officers found him, they say he appeared to be holding a firearm, but they werent sure because he was covering the object with his hand. They told him to empty his hands, but instead he started walking toward them, still hiding what was in his hand. Thats when they opened fire. Because the officers believed that the suspect was wanted for attempted murder, because this was a residential area, and because they believed he was armed with a firearm, they discharged their firearm upon the subject striking him several times.
