Today the judge set bail for the two officers at 1 million each. Both are charged with seconddegree murder. It has shaken the community a lot. This is a small community. Everybody knows everybody and it is a tragic situation. And everybody is paying the price. Tomorrow, ten students from a northwest iowa college, will be in the political spotlight. matt ktivs tiffany lane spoke with leaders of the Dordt College republicans this afternoon. Tiffany . Matt and sheila, students from the club will be getting to witness president ial politics, firsthand. They will be volunteering at the gop debate in milwaukee, wisconsin. The chance came when club chair, and student body president , steve kelly contacted the wisconsin gop asking how students can get involved. The students are part of a club on campus that has 130 members. The club meets to debate, host political speakers at the local and national level, and hold debate parties. And tomorrow, they get to do that in person. In life and in politics, i think its always important to stay involved in whats really going on because we elect these people who have so much power and we just need to keep them accountable and make sure we keep engaged with what going on. The club raised money for the trip from Business Leaders and others in iowa to sponsor their trip. The students have already met many of the candidates who have stopped on their campus. But they say this will be a great way to see them on a different platform. I spoke with the students on what they hope to take from the trip
