I was so sick when i got off that plane, which i didnt want to admit to you guys. I was violently sick. Really . But just three years ago, linda was struck with a sickness much more severe. A sudden onset of back pain so excruciating she considered suicide. I really understood why people said maybe i dont need to be alive, because its so painful to be alive. And nobody had an answer. Were there times when you thought about that . Absolutely. I said there has to be an answer. This is not living. Cortisone treatments led to hair loss, a shock to this woman whose big hair was once copied by stylists everywhere. Its not my hair. Its a wig. This is a wig. Because my hair fell out. Linda has been pain free for a year now after a laser procedure, and her hair will grow back. Its going to take me a back, but in the meantime, i just feel fine. Its okay. Thank god. They have these things for us. So, if we can just have some compassion with each other and the journey that we go through, and to actually support people in those times, and not try to hide, the hiding is the part thats off, like were ashamed of something. Ashamed that i survived my back . No, i am a warrior. I got pain free. And so, im celebrating it, and so if i have to wear wigs and sometimes put pieces and a hat on, a baseball hat, theres all sorts of things that i do. I want to be proud of myself.
