And outside it is very calm. Were told ib inside it has been very calm. Weve talked to people that were there. 9 45 a. M. When the power was cut. They said they didnt know what was going on. 45 min thats when everyone stepped out of the hotel rooms and we are being told by the guests it was very dark and they needed to use their cell phones to light the pathway. Were right in front of the las vegas boulevard. People are passing by. They would have realized there was a power outage. Right here is rich with caesars entertainment. Thank you for your time. Give us the latest the situation inside the casino and hotel. Cleared the casino. Guests are out. Theres nobody who is stuck in the hotel. And we have some guests who stayed by the machines they were playing when the power went out and were trying to take good care of them. We expect temporary power restored within the hour. Later today full power but i dont know yet exactly when. Reporter this is pretty much of a surprise. You never hear of something a power outage of this magnitude right. You dont expect the main power line to get cut during a routine construction project. So its very unusual. Reporter do you have any idea how , fix the main power cord . I am not an electrical engineer so i have no idea. But i know theyre working diligently. Nevada energy is in there. We have a private contractor working with all the people to get it restored as quickly as possible. Reporter ive been told you have contacted the gaming board. Why is it necessary to do that . The gaming board has regulations that basically say whenever we have an incident like this we need to infworm them immediately so they can come over and make sure that involvement to make sure that everything goes smoothly until we get power restored and make sure everybody is treated fairly.
