Coming up Saturday night on coast to coast am when God had a wife the Fall and Rise of the sacred 7 and in the Judeo Christian tradition new book out super good reading it as we speak. I was tweeting that out maybe you saw but if you follow me on line on Twitter at Deacon Punit it was I had a good bonfire going earlier in the week because I. Still have fall ish weather here in Kansas although it's changing every day. So I was doing the last of the raking chopping down some trees my property that. This Scrabble. Trust me nothing. And they were kind of diseased and so I was cutting out some of the underbrush and burning it so it if it had termites it's not going to get anywhere close to my house so I was just kind of bringing it out there and sitting out there reading that book and it was great this is perfect I was actually having a cigar reading that book in front of a bonfire and if you ever want to follow me on Twitter it's Deacon Punit let me go to a Barry who's just anybody to wildcard line on coast to coast am in South Carolina Barry Hello there young Oh right well it up Pleasure as always and I'm like Mary for earlier caller I'm not just avoided that you're not you know or you know it's Ok I don't blame people for being I don't blame but all I would be to do I think. Margaret cars to exotic called I know we've been right here where I looked and. I could talk about you. Really well here's a new I am partly responsible you got me after. All your organ army about 6 months ago and started telling him that his name should be added to the rest of credit so. That's nice. Sure. That's nice Well that's 1st of all it's very nice of George to do that 2nd of all it was nice of you to say that I get more response from that and people like mentioning that to my mother which my mother will say Yes your name came up with Ricky and I go I know just what she's talking about and that's the end of the show credits so thank you for that that's very good. But it was there something else you want to get to it was there anything else on your mind yeah there really yes and. Remember back to you were go we were talking about the c.b.d. All you had of course and I guess. You still use it and you know I do well well again showed nothing really helps the tonight as the c.b.d. Oil is definitely helping this ongoing headache that I've had for. Well I'll let you go you know no no no no but let me just say I still take it every night very So thank you and I'm happy to plug that somebody wrote to me on Twitter like I was like on the take from the. Oil industry or whatever I'm not getting anything I'm just telling you because as a consumer I too like to hear about things that are working when I hear it from other people so I'm just passing that along to you that it's really really enjoyable thank you so much very Bridget that and I will actually throw another dumb idea this is I'm just going to say this is the time of year and because later on tonight I know when I get off the air and I'm going to go down and I walk my dog and I may be making a little breakfast early I may turn on television and when I do they will very likely be an interim or simple mercial for the ninja food. And I will say for whatever works whatever means it works it does. I love my prize I bought one I bought one because of him from our Szell that totally works it's a great product so those are my 2 recommendation c.b.d. Oil and the ninja truly and my wife who was very skeptical of that she's like you had another kitchen gadget but I use it all the time and she's like oh this is really getting very good. I think it was. Mike east of the Rockies in Possum Trot Kentucky right Mike and possum trial. Eat eastern Kentucky. Western Kentucky Oh you know Western Kentucky Ok very good and we're going to Possum trying. To act in a comedy said thank you 2020 all our brothers thank remaining there just maybe and apps here in a little bit about. What you think about a movie and we are going thanks but I think I did see the original the movie it was sort of a bio pic it's sort of a remake I mean they did shtick from the 3 stooges but they also kind of created an original screenplay I did see it I was it kind of a weird movie because I was a Stooges fan like you know any other kid growing up in America and it was I thought they did it really effectively I hadn't heard about a sequel I I was captivated by I remember watching the whole thing I kept but it never quite I could see why it wasn't a big hit because it didn't quite settle into anything that maybe mainstream audiences could relate to until they did the that or the Laurel and Hardy movie maybe maybe this is akin to that but I like that whatever's are there like that I go to a cliff who's on a 1st time caller line on Coast to Coast Clift. Yes and it's always so great to hear your voice thank you you're a beacon of light and then well it's early yet you may regret that maybe at the end of the show you you can call it back at the end of you're going to take I'll take it back go ahead. Yeah. We're our breath of knowledge and light and I but it's very nice thank you very much I love hearing your voice it's only time I tune in if I can help it well I hope you hear George does great shows all the time and thank you Cliff and and for that matter to you know so many the other hosts I love to follow them on Twitter and I see the shows they do and I go I wish I could get. Some great topics especially George on Sunday nights coast to coast am George Knapp has wonderful stuff west west Paul west of the Rockies yours Paul in Washington on Coast to Coast Paul. Used to watch Red Skelton share on the right along with Gleason and. To do some comedy skits were out the 4 letter words that are so common with. Regular disagree with funny. Red Skelton was he was really innovative and I think that it's always I mean I'm not in 4 letter words don't bother me one way or another but but I do like the fact that so much of what Red Skelton did was pantomime he didn't use any words at all and that that part's really unique because he wasn't doing a mime thing he would just do these whole sketches where there was no dialogue whatsoever and that's pretty that's that's hard to do. And then now one other thing the young like Jerry chase on Saturday Night Live right. On time where he was dating a. Movie that's sat on a skateboard. Thing about I'm from well and I cannot remember but I. Was it was just one of the funnier things I'm getting now. Good Well let me say this is an interesting comparison we're talking about money Python because John Cleese of course becomes the 1st breakout star of money Python and and that's a little bit like what happened with Chevy Chase it was it was originally on sambal but he is the 1st breakout star to leave and did there is the same sort of dynamic about you know one person jumping out of the troupe and they felt too early that he left too early and the show was just getting traction and they were really afraid it was going to kill it but it didn't. And the other members of the troupe stepped up which I think is very much to their credit got open lines will be doing this rest of the night but this means that I never know where you're going to go let me go to a John in Youngstown Ohio on coast to coast am John. I don't think there's a book here with your talk about comedy because I consider myself. An affiliated leftist real left to spend progressive about real progression and I think in many ways there is an attempt to also apply what those terms really mean to anything that criticizes this record witch hunt against Trump I don't agree with Trump many of us policies but I do believe if you're going to be anti stably you've got to oppose the most dangerous and sinister forces in our society the CIA and the f.b.i. And the military industrial complex which I believe is out to get him and you can document some of this by checking out global research which has many of the f.b.i. And CIA taking actually repented of their former life in crimes and are now exposing this is nothing but a McCarthy a switch and I think you just look up Gladio crimes and fire. Crimes of the CIA Empire you'll see that. In effect people trying to be cool comedians trying to be cool or thinking they're cool and maybe misreading a lot of young people to think that it's edgy or join in on this idea that Russia is behind everything good for peace for our opposing confrontation and build up against another nuclear power or its economic justice for posting racism it's all because it's mastermind crudeness pulling your strings and your back moving your money it's the most dangerous thing I've ever heard and I think what we're going to pretend to be edgy and convince young people that it's cool and humorous to island with that. Military Industrial mongering I think it's a very dangerous thing and I. Just looked up an article called you know you got to slow down here a little because I want to jump in and we'll just I don't I want to list a bunch of articles but let me address what you said I wondered about this a little bit because the there's a lot of flipped positions these days about the f.b.i. And CIA And it's unusual for me to hear so many conservative voices coming out against the rank and file of the f.b.i. Or even its leadership or the CIA and I've been wondering like where is the where was the old traditional anti f.b.i. CIA voice of the progressive left so I. It's always nice to hear somebody say that from. Left end of the spectrum and I think you make a good point about sometimes when comedians are trying to be topical they end up reinforcing the very the. Tropes which make those kind of abuses passable so if you're saying that you think the f.b.i. And the CIA It's something that people need to repent from and that you mention these articles of former agents who say you know all the awful things that they did I believe you in a lot of ways because we've talked about that over the years and coast to coast especially with the f.b.i. Abuses and some from the n.s.c. But you don't hear a lot about it lately you certainly don't hear it on the on the campaign trail. But you do hear a lot about Russia gate so we'll leave it there but gosh that's interesting thank you for jumping in a coast to coast wild card like Danny is in Nevada and coast to coast Danny. And how you doing sir. Good anyway. Take your time in Ok. I don't know if you've heard about it but my father. On August 27th. 1000. You could find on the Internet you know and didn't do anything anymore in this regard to being splattered all over the internet but when I caught him. By copying he was was he was he was killed by a police officer yes or is it is you a side by cop is that what you're saying you know because why for 29 years of marriage my father was a poor con creature Ok I mean you 69 if you need to make right even today if you go to a more. August 27th 2800 Stockton security in a place like give me up a simple Sacramento plenty of coverage and you know you know it's important you know it's a serious one even today Sacramento covers it you know but because you're in Fresno you're saying that that Sacramento only covers some things from Fresno Well you know well or Nevada Well yeah I did but when that happened I was I was in touch over with my father. And starting and finishing his wife of 29 years of marriage the time for another woman in the church the favorites ending I started because it's me didn't have and the rent control and so that at least sacrament on the time this woman in the church and you know a long story for you know today reliving their pain ran in and downs might get there in time for $900.00 a month but they broke your heart they broke he so your father broke up with your wife your mother left your dad and he he had an episode where he engaged the police officers to shoot him. He was that my mom says my step mother and I think about it is not not cases and in some places. You know when there's a like a divorce or the step parent sometimes it's not except except on answering on and I was one of those agents and she never accepted use one of her light and. I think it's because I reminded her of the woman who has been she stole cyst on my father on the cancer to a divorce that's results all 3 sounds very sounds very complicated but let me I want to just focus on one thing so what did your dad do to engage the police or was he having a mental episode is that when he was having Well he was diagnosed with liver cancer he had diabetes and one Iranian fun and long litany of diabetic driver you know like Metformin you know and all that stuff and he was he was only can probably still live in to do so much pain and. I became his caregiver overnight and all because. He would turn so badly and I did some research on cancer any effects the mind of a person should Jorgen or it's killing and he would get in his right mind not not to mention the caregivers around him I mean it is it's just are everywhere so he was in his right mind and he did something that got the cops attention and they basically used me and he knew Kitty when he sent me to the military to be with my mom if he said the better my There's a discount upon you my father's a preacher but he thought he also bit a Life Ok you know very few of them do and you know but he said if California to see every piece and it's expensive to live here you can start all over again is there ain't become your own man in and he said You just need to go back to Rich and wanted. And then he told me that you're going to use a protection because you've never been outside of California don't know which can be confronting and he said in your piece that you can be thinking God if anything comes down on your way to miscarry that you had something to protect yourself with that Ok dad so we want Sacramento and I purchased for the 1st time I'd like a priest but a pyre army you know that I thought I was going to be using to protect myself with which I did not know what you had. I mean I got exonerated from it if they've all been you know I think they're you know I'm saying I mean it's all been you know taken care of on that you know I mean I was exonerated that respect you know. You know. I didn't know that he was. Desperate because he was a convicted felon. There are so sorry so many ways this obviously impacts you if you've been getting help I mean if you. Are I mean everybody hurts tending. And kind of you know I try my best to try to have it sort of help but you know what usually got to do honestly the way to do it because in every town in matter where you are there's there's going to be some social services and there's going to be basement circle groups of people who are surviving grief my mother was in a grief group and it really will help to be around other people who are experiencing the stages of grief who can help you and become a conversation partner so don't necessarily wait for the pastors to step up or are they very likely aren't very qualified for it either so. You know you have a. Great counseling that you can get there you know I mean I mean I've really been going even going well the thing I've been calling because. I. Gotta go you gotta go and I will also say this and this is true for for everybody you know. Catholic Social Services Lutheran Social Services your local Jewish community center they may offer social services too and they they they rate what you have to pay by what you can afford so if you can't afford any of that type of mental health care give it to you $2.00 a session or something like that. And if you can pay more in the last. You got to get it and you have to be proactive about it obviously you're still hurting. Gauge the right people. Conversation. Helped make that conversation last during that week but I'm so sorry it happened to you but that's what open minds is about never know where people are will find out where to start picking up. And coast to coast am. Given. To you still think that's the way things are going that the global elite still want to dominate the planet and that they might succeed Well I think they dominate the planet for a long time until 76 because the founding fathers decided to form a new form of government one based on wrongs that were eternal and right that people have that are unalienable the cueball is the rule the Earth had to cool they didn't like that so for 242 years they've been trying to get it back and we America has predicted it and that the fight if we see going on right now doesn't it still feel out of kilter golf to you there's something wrong there's a grand force out there that need not just want to capture the folds of the world but I don't think they're going to win I don't think they're going to win. I guess like the I think it's time that I did launch my full name my name is Walter Joseph Jr. And why do you still write. A column in The Local. State and. For a number of years and then finally. Just got too liberal for me and that's why I quit. Paper it just barely hanging on by the mouse. So to speak. Well what's your lesson that you think they learned. You know I think. I get depressed at large. To deny that I think it's. Reality I mean our little mite If agree with what I think. Well I think the duty of what the Founding Fathers designed is still true which is it's a free market and to the press is not regulated by government. And it will be left up to the market to decide I think the greatest problem that newspapers face is not has nothing to do with politics as everything to do with the fact that it's on paper and that newspapers you know I love newspapers and I read newspapers frequently but I don't live by them like I used to I don't have and it has nothing to do with anybody's editorial policy whether it's a more conservative paper like The Chicago Tribune or a more liberal paper like you didn't you know the I guess it in the New York Times if we were going to say that but I don't I don't think that has anything to do with I think it just the times have changed and the generation that light having it actual newspaper in their lap is dying slowly and with them every year the printing of newspapers becomes a an iceberg floating to the equator and you can have anything you want on it you can put you can put page 3 girls in. Going to sell but. But you had a biblical conundrum here are you if you recall the last time we spoke. I . Cannot make you want to call it that. Christ when the suffering on the cross he. Said. It will be with me and dicing. Traditionally Christ is. Supposed to rise until the 3rd day and on Easter morning he says to me surprises you Mary Magdalen that the to me says touch me not for I have not yet ascended to my father. Running a. Lot of. Thought I know you're not met. But I have a Masters of Divinity and I and I spend a lot of time with these types of narratives. Even as for example coming up tomorrow night when God had a wife and coast to coast and we deal with some of the some of these aspects of the stories that are told and I very specifically used. The plural version we have there are conflicting elements of stories some people will hate that and they'll say oh no they all fit together and they don't always and that's where the that's where the Bible is most interesting to me at like why was it that Mary couldn't touch Jesus after the stone is rolled away but then later Thomas can put his hand in the wound. You know what exactly is going on there we don't know and so in a lot of ways perhaps what we do our big take away from anything to do with the Bible is to not expect that everything will snap together like Lego and that we should look at the disparities in the stories as being sometimes representative of who's telling the story and who's receiving the story not so much the story itself so I think and I think part of what we'll get to coming up tomorrow night on Coast to Coast and what I think you'll find it very interesting is that there are elements of these early narratives about God that still exist in the text it's just now we don't really kind of gloss over them but the idea of the sacred feminine. And whether there were other gods that worked underneath God you know the. Which we would call your way or the you. Holy holy as to God's the best God the King of King gods however you look at that where there were other people that were in service to that god that were also divine there are elements of that there are references to that all through the Bible and we just kind of you know they don't sit in our simplification of the narrative so we don't really focus on them but we will coming up tomorrow night coast to coast and I hope you'll be listening because I think you will enjoy it and that brings me to Annie who's in Alabama coast to coast on well Caroline go ahead any. Telling me there's 3 things need to be outlawed or what are a lot of what is it a nightly nanny state if telecommunications bankers 99 I think they're already at large screens on the cards they discriminate against the blind and I don't know why they learned to spell it well now but when you paste here for the banning gag unflattering family was frankly a part time market how. Siri then have to click on tonight when we see half the city. Why would just use Siri. I would say Siri call my I don't know my mother or I'm in a trunk but you know if it weren't for everybody. Here's a question just everything that we make have to work for everybody that lives as many as possible that they in compliance with its health education thank you Nike magnanimously screens are not. The clicking clay in think I can still make a phone call well I don't know enough about that actor what was subsequently addressed in that act or whether there were revisions to that act or whatever so but I am curious because like you have a lot of list of things that should be outlawed this would be outlawed in the know but when you bring it up when you when you bring it up you bring up other things that you think should be outlawed and so we're going to you know Ok Do you have another we should outlaw all the National Federation of the blandest putting this think if you think we're in balance and had every city outlawed to regulate the especially Burnam the kind of people are robbing the flow of many trees that are vital to the ecosystem Thank you Bill and competence in Florida. Yeah I don't want to do that. Well the snow will be much really curing I don't want to do that they better for you know I don't want to do it so why should a law make me do it if we live in a free society why should I be forced to do that. And that you're you know wallowing at NASA can you why do I why should we be making laws all the time that force people to do things our farm prevent. Nobody nobody's harmed by me not composting and I don't want to compost I regret is made I don't want to I don't want to be real one day and I don't have to eat something one day the ground is very little bigger Vo I did it for you well that's what. I understand that's all you look at it but that's not I don't I think it's easy to write laws that tell everybody's got to do this and to use the legal system or use legislature to always be making people do stuff but that to me runs contrary to a free society you want to convince me that it's good Ok and you want to persuade me that I should or shouldn't be doing that that's all right I happen to live next to a forest and I get all of the leaves and my property there are times when I open my front door and it's like a snow drift of leaves and so no I will be raking and and if I don't rake it they just pile up 6 inches deep and it cuts off my lawn and I like a little bit a lawn and so does my dog and so I want to be able to live life the way I want and I don't want somebody telling me what I can and can't do with the leaves that pile up on my property so I don't think that's I don't like the way we should be always be thinking about things we need to outlaw and force other people to do but I do like I do think there should be options for blind people and I hope that that's perhaps one of the revisions that you don't know about is that there are availabilities for touch screens and that it isn't just everybody's in violation of the 1996 law but you know that blind people have options and they should be and every person has had. The cap should have options but I happen to like my touchscreen and I like Syria and I want to keep the 2 so I'll be I'll be doing my touch screen while I'm breaking and I'll be thinking of you wildcard line my kids in Colorado on Coast to Coast Mike. What's up you know thank you so much for taking my call I'm always grateful you're one of my favorite radio hosts in. Any industry so I really appreciate it. So a couple things I want to get your take on so as we all know the Oakland Raiders who played. Their last game at the Oakland Coliseum and. Sunday make the playoffs by some Christmas miracle. And. I wanted to get your take on how the Raiders kind of deserted their city and you know they've been there for it which time which one in which time you retire you know when they move to l.a. Or when they move back yeah. Well you know I you know it's just a place I you know I've grown up watching me I mean it's one of the best places for football I think but also I was wanting to get some of your favorite memories of the past decade of coast to coast and then where you see coast to coast am the next decade I don't eat a really interesting conversation topic you know that's a really I think actually that I have a 1st hour tomorrow that I haven't had anything booked and I think I'm going to take a quick look at that for. Sure next for tomorrow night's 1st hour because this is just it just occurred to me to hurt somebody else saying the close of the decade and I was like That's right it's coming up here mean we're running to 20 and so good bye to 19 I love I like that idea like that a lot so I have to think about it before i give us an answer which I wouldn't wouldn't do well with and part of that he was I was off the air for. A little bit more of this decade than I was in previous decades on coast so I have to think about that but it's part of the Raiders a concern you know I am a sports fan and I do like football and I know I'm not supposed to write. But I do and I I find that I feel sorry for the people of Oakland I think they bled for that team twice and the fact that they're leaving and going to Vegas good for very good and I know that for every. Door closes a window opens yeah maybe another team will come into Oakland and that will be good but I'll never be the Raiders and there's something about you know there's a certain teams that just get in that town that Perth them and I think that the Raiders are distinctly in that group and they you know they the Cardinals they could move from Chicago where they started originally to St Louis to Phoenix and there's nothing about the character of the old Chicago Cardinals that was lost when they became the St Louis Cardinals that was lost when they became the Phoenix Cardinals but I I feel for the people of of Oakland that was their team as a scrappy team it was it just had that urban kind of like almost kind of lost in New York we're going to fight our way out of this kind of a thing and I hope the people of of Oakland get something good later on I hope that . They hang on to the teams that they do have and I I'll never feel good about about the Raiders being in Vegas or something about it it's just wrong it doesn't it just doesn't to me but. I will watch and by the way I've never been a Raiders I haven't really been a Raiders fan because I was growing up they were the mean the villain but I still I still identify with the people of Oakland and west of the Rockies John is in Birmingham and coast to coast am a Johnny still always gone. All right we'll go to is Jordan there on the wild card line. And in Kansas on Coast to Coast Jordan Yeah and I think Michael Yeah I have never been a Raiders fan you know. Never will be. You get a feel of the people of Oakland though right I mean that's their team and I just that would break my heart if I were rain or shine. Breaks mind. But I wanted to ask you about. Your thoughts I guess on this whole Jeffrey Epstein case and it's getting more and more interesting and. Oh man it's I think personally the full impeachment scandal. And I think it's way bigger than anybody even understands right now or it's going to be. Bigger than the media can lie about. The back back back back back back that's not fair because I don't think that I don't think. I think that's a cheap shot I think in the Jeffrey absent case I think what's really important is that we don't just go with whatever narrative we had like a soon as he died or like oh it's just like this movie or you know here's here's exactly how it happened I think it's much better that we take time and actually get the facts before we start concluding what it is so I don't think I don't think the media saying there's no proof of that is a lie until there's proof of it and now we're seeing some really substantive you know reports that are coming out from even right Frank from his attorney this week and other people saying that he was afraid for his life and that he wanted to hire somebody who was going to be his body card behind bars and all that I don't know though yet who it was that he was most afraid of and he was in the hands of the Department of Justice So what does that mean. And do we know for a fact who is who would have been the one that would have most benefited from his death. And I think the early thoughts of he was strangled to death by Hillary Clinton were just ridiculous and the I'm glad the media to report that because I don't think that will ever be proven true but who do you think was his biggest threat. I don't. I don't. You know. Why would you why would it why would it why wouldn't I mean so why he's in prison whatever I mean I don't know who is it that he was afraid of are you are you sticking with the Clintons theory because I just don't happen to think they're the criminal masterminds that other No I don't I think it's so interesting to me and I haven't got it all figured out but it. It's exciting kind of time I think that we're in and. Found out is how you know. Right like who is whose names are in those books it could be so many people. Do you think it's just going to end up being Democrats no no no I think I think it will be on both sides and that's what that's the part that interests me because you remember like our other comparison for this was Heidi Fleiss and remember it's all going to be Heidi for the going to release the little black book of Heidi Fleiss and it implicates all these people and it never got released Funny how that happened you know and I think that we'll we may never know who all those people because that's the kind of political power that he was hanging out with that that he had leverage on them but also they may have leverage on making sure that their names are never exposed. But the what about the Prince Andrew angle could this have been I mean that that's more interesting to me that you have somebody is even if it's titular early somebody as powerful as a prince who was who knew that he was going to be suffering greatly for this he may be the person who benefits most from the death of Jeffrey Epstein. Interesting I don't know what kind of ball he has and I don't know whether he has access to any. Through whatever and activate them but. To me we don't we're just beginning to understand who's on that database. I am watching that story now now it's. Coming up next hour. We will continue with. Finding out where you're going to take the show coming up next on coast to coast am in for George Norry this is.
