Boy could have possibly been in that car for several hours before he was found. Theyre telling us that two caretakers for that little boy were brought into custody. Theyre actually here right now at the Peoria Police department being questioned. We are just hearing people say, like, a baby was left in the hours. Peoria Police Responding to an apartment complex near 85th avenue and peoria around 2 45 this afternoon for a report of an infant not breathing. When they arrived they found a 5monthold boy in an apartment. Upon arrival the child was found to not be breathing. The child was transported in critical condition. It was pronounced deseized at the hospital deceased at the hospital. Been left in the car for several hours. A man and woman who police say are caretakers were taken that custody for questioning. It was not the parents who were caring for the child at this time. And who initially found the child and also who called the police . I believe it was a combination of the neighbor and one of the caretakers had called us. Its devastating for a life to be taken at 5 months old. Its just so soon. Just keep an eye on your children. Dont leave them anywhere. And were this time if charges will be filed against these two caretakers. Also not sure the identity of thismonthold old little boy. Adot says long delays are possible. Drivers should consider using there is no estimated time to reopen the highway right now. No details of the about the crash or if there are any injuries. Crews are still investigating right now. A hitandrun investigation the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office says a man was walking eastbound on paiche trail near 79th place when he was hit by a car. This happened at about 1 30 this morning. The driver did not stop. The victim has several broken bo recover. Witnesses say the suspects vehicle was possibly a small white hatchback. It may have damage to the passenger side. Developing at 9 00, one of the four children injured in a car crash in phoenix has died. Phoenix police say the driver of that truck slammed into them. That slammed into them appears to have been impaired. The driver is facing possible manslaughter chargers. Marcy jones is here now with the details. Good evening, marcy. A dodge pickup colliding with a ford ranger. Now, according to police that ford truck was carrying three children in the bed of it. And one 2yearold who was not in a car seat. Tonight we know sadly that the 6yearold boy has died. Three others are fighting for their lives. Its too early in the event to even understand who was related, if theyre friends or what. You know, the events sounding. All we know is that we had four pediatric patients, one adult, and they level 1 hospital. Phoenix fire and police units responded to a serious collision this morning on broadway and 40th street. First responders say four children and an adult were taken in critical condition. Sadly, one 6yearold boy passed away from his injuries. The police officers, they have their you know, they have a long process of going through the investigative portion of this and everything is taped off. So its really hard to see and to gain access as to whats while the cause is still unknown, phoenix fire captain says its a reminder that driving is such a huge responsibility, and especially to be cautious with young passengers. Cautioning all to eliminate all distractions before getting behind the wheel. We see this stuff every day. The search for a missing buckeye boy continued today in aven avondale. Heights been nearly three months since jesse disappeared from his home. Heavy rain delayed the search today in avondale. But the afternoon. Volunteers include members of the arizona extreme terrain search and rescue. Jesses biological grandmother organized the effort. This particular terrain is actually its actually not too bad. I would say its probably maybe mild to moderate. The worst terrain so far that weve been in was up at jacobs lake searching for. Gerald from last year. Terrain. Jesse was last seen on july 17th. Police think he slipped out of his bedroom window. Still unclear what happened to him after that. A man found dead in a mesa house fire has been identified as manuel garcia. The fire happened near broadway and val vista. Witnesses say garcia was trying to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher. Authorities are investigating the cause of the do not suspect foul play. Families forced to leave their chandler homes due to a gas leak are back home tonight. More than a dozen homes were evacuated this neighborhood near mcclintock and the 202. Fire crews respond to a call of a small bush that was burning. And it wouldnt go out when water was put on it. Thats when they discovered they were actually dealing with a gas leak. People were allowed back into their homes this morning. But apparently nobody told mother nature. It was a wet and cloudy day for parts of the valley this sunday. Now, they tell us this flag has been hanging since about march. And theyve never received it says, why if you love mexico to hang their flag. Why dont you move back to mexico if youre missing it.
