One degree away from the record of 72. 60 in south lake. Winds gusting to 40 miles per hour. With ridge gusts up to 75 miles per hour. This area of moisture will traverse off to the north later on today. And it will fall apart. As it does so as well. Were not talking much in the way of shower chances but a chance north of renosparks over night and into tomorrow morning. Otherwise a mix of sun and clouds well have more in full weather. Back to you. Lets turn to our crime watch. A shooting killed one person and injured two others. Including an officer. Four men carjacked a vehicle in sparks and then later were spotted at a casino in Silver Springs. Lion county sheriff mcneil says a deputy approached the car and someone inside opened fire hitting the deputy in the hand. Mcneil says the officer shot back. One suspect died. Another was injured. And flown to a regional hospital. His condition at this point in time, unknown, Officials Say good health and has since been released from the hospital. Two other suspects involved are detained. We have all the subjects accounted for. One of the subjects did admit that there were just four of them in the vehicle. But at this point, the captured suspects are juveniles who are currently at a detention facility in reno. The Carson City Sheriffs Office will lead this death investigation. A man hunt is on the way or happening right now in the bay area for two suspects wanted in the murder of a man in South Lake Tahoe last month. Laura anthony brings us the latest from vallejo california. Investigators from the Eldorado County das office were in Solano County today suited up ready to head out in pursuit of two suspects wanted for a murder at the South Lake Tahoe motel on january 30th. What we know so far is that denis wright age 40 was in tahoe with his girlfriend. Gunshots were fired and mr. Wright succumb to his injuries. It happened in the parking lot of the Beverly Lodge during a struggle after an apparent drug deal went bad. If you see these suspects and their pictures are on facebook, call 911. Police arrested two vallejo men. An 18yearold and a 20year old for their alleged role in wrights murder. Now theyre looking for these two, 24yearold Dominic Sean Lee Randolph and his cousin, 26 yearold deon jermaine randolph. The two are considered armed and dangerous. That was Laura Anthony reporting. A series of car burglaries in the Virginia Lake area has residents and authorities on high alert. Dont want to steal your car, instead they want your garage door opener. Officers say the thieves want to steal items from your garage in order to pawn them. They say residents who park their cars outside of their home need to make sure is that the garage door opener is put away out of plain sight. More than 100 Homeless People will go another night without a bed to sleep in locally. Volunteers of america does not have an over flow shelter right now because someone vandalized the building they were renting. Police say vandals stole copper wiring and stripped the electrical and Heating Systems which caused flooding. Now volunteers of america director is trying to find a new building as quickly as possible. In the mean time the homeless shelter has been using warming rooms in extra offices to give People Places to sleep over night. Theyre having to do it sitting up. What they did by shutting down this building, i dont think they know the effects of what they did. Thats 110 people that if we here, theyd be out on the streets. The Nevada Department of agriculture said one of the motorists sustained minor injuries when the vehicle struck the horse. Officials say wild horses in the area are crossing roadways looking for food and water sources. Drivers are reminded to remain alert and follow posted speed limits the department of agriculture is working with ndot to install fencing and cow guards between carson city and Silver Springs to help keep animals off the road. The state of a local golf cautious hangs in the balance. The Wild Creek Golf Course maybe put up for sale but the Community Wants to keep it in the neighborhood. Renosparks convention and Visitor Authority chairman bob they cannot afford to manage Wild Creek Golf Course any longer. Fox 11 has more. Reporter just off north mccarron boulevard wild creek is one of the last municipal golf courses in town where you can play an inexpensive round of golf. Its not just a role for us as golfers its a role for us in the community. Reporter Special Olympics cole call it home turf. I cant understand why youd want to tear down a perfectly green area with habitat for animals. You have some of the most beautiful animals. Why youd want to tear that habitat down. Reporter they spoke up at a meeting thursday concerned that selling the property would put the golf course at risk of more development. Our views would of course diminish. And most importantly, the pricing of our homes, the value would decrease. Reporter but according to the rscva its not about getting rid of the golf course, losses. We lose 200,000 every year on golf operations. Chairman bob lucy says they need to focus on properties that bring in tourism and room taxes. Its owned wild creek for about 30 years but now its unaffordable to manage. I think we really need to get the management of the golf course back in the hands of the people who spend time managing golf courses. The board and neighbors seem to agree on one thing. It needs to be a golf course. One option would be to transfer the property to Washoe County. They want to see the golf goes back in the hands of the county to make that decision. And it really should be. These are types of issues for quality of life in parks for the citizens. And it needs to be within the entities that control that for them. Thats the biggest difference youll see from yesterday into today. And tonight the over night period, well be unsettled out there with a weak disturbance off to the north. Renosparks. But the farther south you get toward renosparks and south of town, lower chances to see anything at all. 59 in town right now. Still going for about the 70 degree mark. 71 or so later today. Partly cloudy skies. Clouds have been hanging around for a good portion of the humidity. Temperatures in the 50s. And near 60 degrees for a lot of us in western nevada as well as parts of the sierra. Well into the 60s all ready down into bishop. Well continue to watch for temperatures to rise but the breezes will pick up out there. A mix of sun and clouds. You can see a couple banks of clouds have come through. Every once in a while the sun breaks out too. The bulk of moisture were looking for is off the california coast thats not going to effect most of us for the day today or into the night tonight. But it will traverse to the north. Bringing shower activity well north of renosparks into the nighttime hours tonight. But watch what happens as it moves on shore it falls apart any showers will be north of renosparks. Isolated to scattered at best. Were looking for winds to pick up today and into tomorrow with this little weak disturbance to the north. Because of those winds we do have a lake wind advisory for tahoe for the day today. That actually doesnt start until 4 00 this afternoon. That doesnt mean the winds will wait until 4 00 p. M. Thats when the strongest winds arrive across the lake the lake wind advisory goes until 1 00 in the morning tonight into tomorrow morning. Sevenday forecast, we have that weak system off to the north. Its really not going to do much for us but pick up the winds for today into tomorrow and any moisture will stay to the north as well as that comes through. Unsettled heading into the beginning of next week as well. 10 . 20 shower chances. Not that major. An isolated shower here and there the temperature a roller coaster ride. Were above average, near the record. Were projected for 71 today. Well cool off into the beginning of next week, recover for the middle of next week, and recover by next thursday.
