Blocking 3 lanes of traffic. The chp says that the bigrig jackknifed and crashed into a wall causing a fuel leak. The driver said a car cut him off. By noon the mess was cleared but traffic backups lasted well into the day. And on the peninsula. This big rig also caused headaches for drivers. Officials say the truck caught fire while traveling east on highway 92 in san mateo. This happened around the same time as the big rig accident on the bay bridge. Many drivers were using the san mateo bridge as an alternative to the bay bridge. The driver was able to get out of before it sparked into flames. She died a few weeks later and the case went cold for a few years. Just last month, jackson was arrested for auto theft and had to submit a dna sample. The Contra Costa County crime lab matched his dna to a sample from the murder. Some of his charges include murder, rape and kidnapping.
