Speaking with county Health Officials who say this case has them worried because the victim was so young. The person killed as a result of h1n1 was a 41year old woman who lived here in Santa Clara County. The county Health Department said she died on december 23rd december 23rd. The woman was already severely ill when she sought medical attention. Its more common for people who are older to get complications from flu and to die of the flu, less common in people under 65 which is why that we track, and the eventual we died, we dont have a individual who died, we dont have a complete medical history. Witnesses say he then tried to throw his wife over the bridge and witnesses barely prevented her from falling in. Mcclinton then fell into the water himself. Yes, 2. 3 inches at one location in the sierra. That is 20 of the average. Teams with the department of Water Resources made measurements friday. Low oest elevations lowest elevation was 6700 feet. They found more bare ground than a snow. We snow. We are tied we are tied for the driest reading on record. Officials talked about what they found in the sierra on friday. Obviously the results are not encourages and it reflects the fact that we have had minimal storm activity this year. This lack of rainfall is good if no one, but it has a quicker impact on farmers who are trying to irrigate their crops. 29 agencies across the state have requested water for the coming year and at this point it appears that only 5 of that will be delivered. Thats the type of cold when you go outside without a glove on for 2 or 3 minutes, you cant feel your hand for 15 minutes. This weekend, a little warmer, high 20s today, overcast skies. Tomorrow night is when the cold front moves in. Were expecting temperatures around 0 degrees. It is one of the historic stadium, it towers over everything in green bay, right in the middle of a neighborhood. Even if youre not a packer fan, its nice to see. So much history that has taken place there. And we keep talking about the frozen tundra of green bay, but they have heating coils underneath the field, so the field will actually be in pretty good shape, right. A 7yearold antioch girl is safe with her family after being kidnapped last night. Police arrested 42yearold David Douglas in connection with with the abduction. Douglas followed Natalie Calvo and her mom home from a nearby walmart a, then took natalie from her home. Hours later, police found douglas car in the parking lot of the antioch marina. Natalie was in the car at the time but was unharmed when police found her. New for you this morning, a man is in the hospital after he was shot in oaklands fruit veil station, b. A. R. T. Station. It happened overnight at the intersection of international boulevard and 36th avenue. As we mentioned, that is the fruitdale b. A. R. T. Station. The victim is expected to survive. Police still searching for a gunman right now. A storm that forced dozens of canceled or delayed flights sat sfo on friday and travelers had to wait hours for the next available flight, a marine traveling back to a base in palm springs said he had to deal with multiple delays. I went to believed where i was flying out at and i kept getting delayed. My flight was supposed to be at 7. We had a mini blizzard. Cleveland had like 9 inches and another storm that night. They had almost 20 inches of snow. I got delayed. My flight ended up at noon, and i almost missed my connecting flight at dallas, it was supposed to be at 2 45, and i got there at 2 27. T. s largest unions approving a 4 year labor deal. This new agreement leaves out the disputed family medical leave provision. Workers will get extended pay bereavement leave and bonuses. The other union will vote on the contract deal on january 13th. An seiu is hopeful theyre approve the agreement. And it included multiple strikes. The family of jahei jahi mcmath met at a settlement conference last night after a day of Court Hearings. The family attorney asked a judge to force Childrens Hospital to insert a tracheotomy tube and a feeding tube in hopes of transferring jahi. If i felt that my child was suffering in any type of way, i would not keep her on that machine. I love her that much that i would let her go, but since i see the improvements every day, i will fight for jahi every day until my heart stops or her heart stops. The effects of the breach on cards used at target stores is far reaching, aside from causing problems for potentially tens of thousands of consumers, those on government assistance also feeling the punch. Some people who use epi cards to access benefits are without help. The vendor blocked all of the affected cards back on january 1 january 1st and that left thousands of people without any access to funds. A commissioner wrote that xerox notified individuals they wouldnt have access to the funds until they received a replacement carl. One woman affected said the halt came as a shock. To take your card and not be notified and not have access to the money, its just really rough. Well, those affected were told it could take a week to ten days for a new card to arrive. Well talk about that coming up in my full forecast. A person in santa clara are county has died of the flu. This particular case is concerning because the victim was so young. The person killed as a result of h1n1 was a 41year old woman who lived in Santa Clara County. The Health Department says she died on december 23rd. But dr. Sarah cody says the woman was ill when she sought medical attention. Its more common for poem who are older to get complication from the flu, and die of the flu, less common in people under 65. Thats what we track, and the individual that died, we actually dont have a completely medical history to know whether she had anything that would have put her at increased risk. So we dont know. Reporter h1n1 is the pandemic strain of the flu that started circulating around the globe in 2009. Dr. Cody says the best way to protect yourself from it is to get the shot. It is not too late to get vaccinate ad. The strain is in this years flu vaccine. So the flu vaccine will protect against h1n1, and because were seeing flu activity really pick up, we just want people to be protected. And aside from this death, 7 severe cases of the flu have been reported county wide this flu season, 6 of which were h1n1 h1n1. In san jose, phillipe djegal kron4 news. And we have developments on a fatal highway 280 accident in daily city. The chps saying the man who was killed was driving a stolen car with stolen guns inside. Police still trying to figure out who that man is as they suspect that the id he was carrying might also have been stolen. The accident happened about 5 30 o friday morning near the john daily boulevard off ramp. The man lost control in a gmc suv and crashed into the Center Divide. He then got out of the vehicle and ran across the northbound lanes of the highway. He was killed when he ran back over the divide and was struck by a car in the southbound lane. Police sate driver was carrying a small caliber rifle and a bibi gun that were reported stolen overnight. The accident in San Francisco the latest in a string of dangerous collisions between cars and pedestrians within the city. Kron4 news Charles Clifford has a closer look at where the accidents have happened and how police are responding. This is a google view of the San Francisco looking north and on Tuesday Morning around 9 46 in the morning, a woman was struck by a black suv here near the intersection of turk and eleven worth. She survived but was transported to the hospital. The driver of the suv has not been found. A few hours later, several miles to the south an 86year old man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle here near naples and roll f streets. The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. Later that evening, 6yearold sophia lieu was killed in a collision and a woman and young boy were hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver, 57yearold was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. On thursday a man in his 20s was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on bush and. And friday mornings accident occurred just a bob away near bush and hyde around 9 45 in the morning. The San Francisco police Department Said today they do not believer the accidents are connected in any way but they are going to step up Traffic Enforcement in the areas where these incidents have occurred. Theres no rhyme or reason why we have seen so many at this point this week and this new year, but essentially all we can do is try to educate the community so that we can avoid seeing the types of scenes. And one of the incidents that hes talking about involves a man being struck by an suv in San Francisco that happened just before 10 00 friday morning at the intersection of bush and hyde streets. According to police, an suv traveling eastbound on bush hit the victim in the crosswalk. A witness says that she saw the entire accident unfold. He wasnt moving. He was laying on the ground, and he started bleeding. The victim was taken to San Francisco general with nonlife threatening injuries. The driver is cooperating with investigators. New this morning, police in fairfield are investigating a homicide that happened friday night about 8 00 in the area of Parkway Gardens and san lucas drive. Officials or officers, rather, say that the victim died at the scene after suffering from one gunshot wound. New developments this morning, a 7yearold girl is safe with her family after being kidnapped in antioch friday night. Police arrested 42yearold David Douglas in connection with with the abduction. Douglas followed Natalie Calvo and her mom home from a nearby walmart and took natalie from her home. Hours later, police found douglas car in the parking lot of the antioch marina. Natalie was in the car at the time, and she was unharmed when they found her. One of b. A. R. T. s largest unions approving a 4 year labor deal. All these spices and its phenomenal. And dessert. I have to say pastry chefs to watch. The menu is all over the map. It is. Youll have Southeast Asian flavors with the chicken. I think its more about what taste good, and really fascinating, delicious food. And leave a little room for dessert. Yes. What are we talking about on prices here. With the art choke soup, its 10, the chicken for 2 is 41. But youre splitting that. And meals are about 23 to 27. What about other restaurants in napa. Youre probably going tonight a night cap. They dont have a full liquor license. Morey moto is delicious. They have a beautiful backdrop of these old ovines up on the wall old vines up on the wall, and its this dramatic backdrop. Those affected were told that it would take 7 to 10 days to receive a new card. A teacher in iowa decided to eat only at mcdonalds for 90 days to see what it would do for his health. And new for you this morning, police in fairfield investigating a homicide. It happened friday night about 8 00 in the area of Parkway Gardens and san lucas drive. Officers say that the victim died at the scene after suffering from one gunshot wound. Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward. In the east bay, also new this morning, a man is in the hospital after he was shot at oaklands fruitvale station. It happened overnight at the intersection of international boulevard and 36th avenue. The victim was shot once and taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive. Police still searching for a gunman this morning. A man was struck by an suv in San Francisco. It happened just before 10 00 friday morning at the intersection of bush and hyde streets in the city. According to police, an suv traveling eastbound on bush hit the victim who was in the crosswalk at the time. A witness says she saw the entire accident unfold. He wasnt moving. He was laying on the ground and he started bleeding. The victim was taken to sf general with nonlife threatening injuries. The driver is cooperating with investigators. We have new developments this morning on a fatal highway 280 accident in daly city. The chp says the man who was killed was driving a stolen car with stolen guns inside. Police trying to figure out exactly who the man is as they suspect the id he was carrying might also have been stolen. The accident happened about 5 30 near the john daley boulevard off ramp. The man lost control of a gmc suv and crashed into the Center Divide. He got out of o the vehicle and ran across the northbound lanes, he was killed when he ran back over the Center Divide and was struck by a car in the southbound lane. Police say the driver was carrying a small caliber rifle and a bibi gun that were reported stolen overnight. One person in Santa Clara County has died from the flu. He spoke with county Health Officials to say that this particular case is concerning because the victim was so young. That person was killed as a result of an h1n1. Was a 41yearold woman who lived in Santa Clara County. She died on december 23rd. But doctors say the woman was already severely ill when she sought medical attention. Its more common for people who are older to get complications from flu and to die of the flu, less common in people under 65 which is why thats what we track. And the individual that died, we actually dont have a complete medical history to know whether she had anything that would have put her at increased risk. H1n1 is the pandemic strain of the flu that started circulating around the world in 2009. The best way to protect yourself from catching it is to get the flu shot. Aside from this, 7 more cases have been reported county wide since the flu season hit. 6 of them were h1n1. A mill valley man is pleaded not guilty to attempted murder on the san mateo bridge. Savior mccolinton is clued of trying to throw his mcclinton is accused of trying to throw his wife off the bridge. Witnesses say he tried to throw his wife over the bridge and that they barely prevented her from falling in. Mcclinton then fell in himself. And was arrested as police pulled him from the water. He is being held currently without bail. The fbi says it will have an announcement month on its investigation into the monday on its investigation spot attack on the chinese consulate. A person was Walking Around the entrance wednesday night and a few moments later, you see the explosion. Someone threw two buckets of o gasoline onto the front doors of the building. No one was injured, but the flames heavily damaged the outside of the consulate building. President obama is urging congress to reinstate jobless benefits for more than 1 million americans. In his weekly radio ask internet address, the president says the Unemployment Insurance is a vital economic lifeline for many people. Downtown San Francisco, getting into the mid60s and were looking at mid to upper 60s for the north bay. So if youre heading up to wine country, napa is going to get to 67 degrees this afternoon. Number ten, lets talk about it. This is the wolfe of wall street, martin. This very long but engrossing film, i didnt look at my watch once, has a committed intense performance by leonardo decaprio. Its very that is itty. No children. Number 9 its very nasty. No children. Number nine, parkland. The kennedy assassination, the hospital doctors, agents, villains and victor os of the horrendous event in history. Its called parkland. Great cast. Isnt it,. Yeah, fantastic. Im so happy, you know, you ask i are the only people who saw this movie. How about number 8. Enough said. At last, the bittersweet comedy that James Gandolfini makes glow, the messiness of relationships is there and people to care about. You connect with these people. Very human. Lovered it. Not like American Hustle and some of the others that we have seen now where you dont care about anybody. Including wall street. You dont care about them. Number 7, the butler, the saga in the decades of a white house butler from slavery to the black panthers to obama. We travel the long and distinguished road. A beautiful film. Wonderfully done. Great job by oprah, too. I thought she was fantastic. She can act that girl. Number 6, 20 feet from stardom. Darlene love. Mary clayton, and other background singers recall great and gut wrenching moments in the tough world of show business. All that back fighting and back stabbings, its a wonderful documentary about how they can pull us into reality and give us a new perspective. And you cant beat the music. Fantastic. Absolutely. Number 5 is captain phillips, tom hanks has won two oscars, this performance is as good as anything else. In this true story, hanks and director paul green grat, keep us rivetted and invested in the outcome. You care about what happens here. Number 4, blue jazzman, this touchings, funny look at a woman caught up in financial ruin and fear. It was filmed in the bay area. Its called blue jazz. What a great cast there, too. Kate blanket was fantastic. And you connected and and cared ask the e ending is unforgottable. Number three, 42, a movie that came out too early in the year. Jackie robinson and his entrance into baseball has never been told better. I saw this with a group of 5th 5th grade student. Great story telling and a wonderful movie. He did a terrific job at ricky. They say he was much like the real one. And number two. Approval by matt. Number two, saving mr. Banks, we all carry emotional baggage from our childhood. The woman who wrote mary poppins had a heavy load and this explains why she didnt want to let go of her magical nanny to walt disney. Wonderful acting along with a witty and poignant script. It its not a comedy. Its a very good film. And number one, nebraska, a movie that doesnt look as if it would be witty and wonderful. A great tail of family, the midwest and how money changes people, how money really changes people. And it is so good to see bruce stern back in a starring role. Get through the first ten minutes and youll be fine. Runner up, jobs, the world of steve jobs and the beginningings of apple. I never thought i would say it but Ashton Kutcher was intriguing, who knew. And the troubled genius with a fine supporting cast. Still, another movie to be a made about this is happening. Steve wozniak. That should be interesting to see. More up for 2013, and i know you loved all as well. I did. I think its fantastic. Robert redford did a great job and he should be nominated for best actor, the way he carried that movie. And what a hard job that was. The way way back, fruitvale station, marvelous film, and finally, American Hustle, though you didnt care about the people, it was a great sense of fun, and quickly paced. Looking forward to seeing that, havent seen that one yet. Frozen for the entire family, one of the few movies. Its about two girls for once, and filimena,. I loved it and the films that you mentioned all belong on a top ten list and i think you did a fantastic job with that, it just shows the richness in hollywood this year, which is so refreshing to see. Yes, we need it. We definitely need it. Its not lawrence of arabia and the kings speech, but it certainly has a lot of value in it. There were a lot of strong films. I think youre right. There was no memorable movie thats going to last for decades, but there were a lot of very good films. And please be careful, some of these are decadent and debotched.
