Craig gordon is in oakland education association, representative. And a longtime educator in the city. However, as of monday, hes now a former substitute teacher. He says he was wrongfully fired out of retaliation after you join protesters occupying parker elementary on thursday who want to keep the school open. Authorities are investigating a rape on stanfords campus happened sometime after 5 oclock in the evening on tuesday in a parking lot near wilbur hall. The crime was later reported to Campus Security about 8. 30, when a mandated reporter notified Stanford Department of Public Safety that an adult woman reported she had been sexually assaulted by a man. She did not know anyone who may have information about this incident is being asked to call the Stanford Department of Public Safety. Attacked near uc berkeleys law school tonight, Campus Police are looking for the person who got violent early this morning. Police say a man tried to assault another person. The piece of scrap metal to the parking lot near the law school when the attacker lifted the metal over his head. The victim quickly got into his car. The suspect then hit the victims car with the metal before taking off. Oakland public works received the report of brownish, red water near the 1200 to 1400 blocks of lakeshore avenue assigned a toxin could be present back in may. It was determined that low levels of the contaminant. Were in the area harmful algae blooms can produce toxins that are dangerous to humans and animals and cause Health Issues like a rash and eye irritation. Lourdes monkeypox cases are quickly rising in contra costa county. The first confirmed case of monkeypox is reported a month ago. By august first, that number had slowly increase to 4 cases. But as of now Costa Health Services say they are. 31 confirmed cases and the county and 13 more suspected cases and much like the rest of the bay area. The demand for a vaccine is higher than the available supply contra costa countys Public Health director says the county is receiving 10 times fewer vaccine doses for monkeypox from the state compared to San Francisco and 3 times fewer than Alameda County, the population and confirmed cases for both of those counties, sir, higher than contra costa. But Public Health Officials Say they are committed to cooperation when it comes to slowing the spread. We along with many other bay area counties are vaccinating people as long as they meet the high priority group. They dont have to be a resident pocket cost the county. A federal judge just ruled today that walgreens can be held responsible for contributing to San Franciscos opioid epidemic. Yeah, its a huge pharmacy chain and the judge referred to what he called walgreens 15 year failure saying that that chain gave out highly addictive drugs without proper oversight ruling that walgreens did nothing about identifying or reporting suspicious orders, which is required by law between 2006 2020, the pharmacy distributed more than 100 million prescription opioid pills in San Francisco alone. The judge said that opioid conditions have overwhelm City Hospitals and data shows that between 2015 2020, there was a 478 spike in opioid related deaths. City attorney david chiu says that walgreens continually ignored what it was supposed to do. As San Franciscos largest prescriber, prescription rates.
