In the two weeks leading up to that, toledo had been using a chat app with someone he thought was a 13yearold girl, and he had gotten pretty expliit with her. He asked for some pictures, it went back and forth and then he talked about the sort of things he wanted to do when they met up in the park. The undercover officer on the other end of the conversation agreed to the meet up, and police were waiting to arrest toledo when he showed up. He brought with him candy which he had promised in his online conversation and condoms. People are pretty weird sometimes and, i dont know, anything you can do to get those people out of society is a plus. This family at the park could relate to the potential problems with messaging apps. Their 11year old son has a smart phone, and his mom tries to keep him safe. She checks my emails and messages. Now toledo is in jail on a two and a half Million Dollar bail. He appeared before a judge monday for his arraignment, and a preliminary hearing is next up.
