Which just reopened today. Hermela Mental Health experts say fear, anger and depression are normal reactions for victims of the recent flooding. For some, signs of stress can be seen right away, for others it could take weeks. Kron4s Lydia Pantazes spoke with a Mental Health expert about the challenges victims and even First Responders will face in the coming weeks. There are about a 140 people staying here at james lick high school. That number is expected to increase tonight. Officials with the American Red Cross say one of the things they do here is provide grief counseling to help people cope with their loss. We spoke with a Mental Health expert who says its normal for people for people to be angry, upset. Or feel depressed. Its not only because of the loss of their material items but because of the fear of whats next and not having control of the situation. We spoke to dr. Janet childs, director of education and training for the bill Wilson Center about what the community can do to help. We need to allow people to have their pain and to express it in any way that they can, many times that might be anger, might be withdrawn, or they just dont want to talk at all. Not only is dr. Among the flood victims returning home today. Rock springs resident jose armago spent the day trying to save a few things untouched by the flood in his garage. Armago and his neighbors filled dumpsters as city crews dealt with abandoned cars and ruined infrastructure. Other crews continued their inspection of damage. Which some neighbors say will be difficult to manage. The damage at rock springs, william street and old oakland road will run into the millionsof dollars. The city will seek state and federal aid flood victims are coming together to help each other in their time of need. People who live on 20th street in san jose. Which is an area that was hit hard by the flood. Have been allowed back in their homes. Only to find some homes were unsuitable to live in. So they held an emergency neighborhood meeting. To talk about a number of their concerns. And now they are creating a list of the things they need from the city. To help them get back on track. Right now a lot residents on the street of course have major flood damage to their homes. Identify what their needs are and get that list up to city halli know a lot of people they dont have electricity, no water. All of their equipment they use for work is gone most of the people say. The meeting was an important step for them. And their neighborhood. Now they say. They need help from the city to get their neighborhood back the way it was before the flood. New new tonight at 8, the San FranciscoPolice Department is investigating a string of burglaries in the citys sunset neighborhood. Most of the breakins have occurred late at night and investigators believe the same person is responsible for most of the burglaries. This is Surveillance Video taken at a home near the intersection of 20th avenue and pacheco in San Franciscos sunset neighborhood last week. The video was recorded around 4 30 in the morning. The man, seen here, enters the front gate of the house, notices the surveillance camera and then points it at the ground. The victims shared the video on social media and say that this man searched through their garage and ransacked a car but only took a few items of little value. According to the San FranciscoPolice Department there have been several late night burglaries that match this pattern. They also believe the same person is responsible for most of the break ins. So far, investigators have not identified a suspect in this case. Sotits alarming. Neighbors have been sharing the video and talking about the break ins online. Sotsotthe Commanding Officer of sfpds taraval station said in a statement that. The uniformed officers and the investigators are determined to identify and apprehend the suspect in this series. Sfpd has also stepped up patrols in the area and answered questions at a Public Meeting on thursday. Sot two months of washouts, mudslides and potholes. Have taken a major toll on californias highways. Cal trans said today, the damage so far, amounts to more than six hundred million dollars. That is more than double the yearly budget caltrans has alloted for road repairs. The extra money will have to come from the states emergency fund. Tonight the search for a missing tracy teen has come to a tragic end. A body found in Alameda Creek late last night has been identified as jayda jenkins. Kron 4s Vicki Liviakis is here with details on what happened. Yeah, pam and steve. The girls parents and search crews were hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. The 18 year old went missing last month after she drove off niles canyon road into the creek during one of the recent storms. Now we know jayda didnt survive the crash. For weeks, family and friends scoured the creek looking for any sign of her. They found her car submerged in the cold creek but nobody inside. That was january. Then last night the body was discovered when a man who was walking his dogs along the creek found it close to coyote hills. Investigators today say the family is heartbroken and trying to make sense of the tragedy. The chps initial report revealed jayda crossed over the line colliding with another car. Perhaps her vision blurred by the downpour. Pam, steve . An infant was attacked by a dog in the east bay today. It happened at a home on fremont street, near broadway in concord. You are looking at video of the scene from our helicopter partnership with abc 7. We are learning, a 10 month old baby was attacked earlier today by a dog. A shepard mix. The baby received several lacerations to the head, but was conscious and breathing during transport to an oakland childrens hospital. Police were able to lure the dog away from the child. But when the dog got aggressive with officers, they shot and killed it. The family says, they have had the dog since it was a puppy. Officers are investigating the incident. Bart riders could soon expect rides to cost a little more in the future. The agency is now discussing another fare hike. May raise parking prices. And could cut down on discounts offered to riders. Google has a team of white hat hackers these are good guys that work for google and search the web for vulnerablities. On their researchers discovered a flaw in websites that use cloud fare which is a widely used content distribution and security company, that works with almost five million websites including uber, okcupid and fitbit. So its a platform working behind the scenes for websites you might have accounts with the cloudflare flaw may have leaked information from some of the websites. Information that could have potentially been yours like private messages, authentication tokens, passwords and other sensitive data. But the chances are low. If a cyber criminal was looking deep in the code of one of these websites compramised for Sensitive Information they may have been able to access some private information. For now there is now evidence or reports of anyone taking advantage of this flaw and gaining your Sensitive Information. Stand up the flaw has been fixed by cloudflare. So its possible this will have a good news ending this was security flaw found by a good guy before the bad guys knew about it. Fitbit, uber, and okcupid, the three most popular websites that use cloudfare, said that so far they have not identified any users affected and they believe it will be unlikely that anyone was.
