Michaels father told local paper, the lodi news sentinel, that his son acted in self defense after jonathan and his friends started swinging chairs and jumped him. Jonathans father who was at the game with his sons, says robert preece, dad i dont know how all this will end. I just know i lost my son all too soon. I will always cherish the times me and my sons spent here at the game. More than once that night jonathan told me how much he loved me. Reporter San Mateo County Sherrif Deputy Galen Underwood was arrested for multiple felony counts of lewd and lacivious acts upon a minor. By investigatiors from the Santa Clara County sherriff departmenthes was booked into the main county lockup in san jose thursdayhis bail set at 2 Million Dollars. Investigators arent giving out much information about the victim in the caseor if there are more than o ne. Saying thats the investigation is still in its early stages. He is scheduled to appear in court monday. A spokesperson with the San Mateo County Sheriffs Department says underwood has been working for them since 2005in the patrol division. But has been out on disability for the last month and a half. And now. Hes been placed on paid administrative leave which is their standard protocol whenever an deputy is alleged to have committed a crime. Reporter the shooting was reported just after 10 oclock saturday night in a neighborhood that residents say has been hit hard this year by multiple shootings. But says the two men shot didnt live here. Police havent released a motive. Only saying that the 24 yearold man from oakley shot multiple times died at a hospital from his injuries. The second victim a 20 yearold man from suisun city was seriously injured. And, underwent surgery at a hospital. Offcamera, neighbors say the area is plagued by gangactivity.
