If the chiefs News Conference, he made it clear that when police entered. Both paul pelosi and the suspect were grappling over the hammer. They told him to drop it. Pelosi apparently let go. And that is when the suspect hit pelosi with the hammer. He suffered Skull Fracture, as you know, also injuries to arm and to his hands. But he is expected to make a full recovery. The chief also made it clear today during this last minute News Conference which just wrapped up about 5 minutes ago that this was not a random attack. He could not say what the motive is. It is a belief that we know what the motive is. And it is a belief that the police to 2, but he said at this point he cant release that. But he said this is definitely not a random attack. Heres what the chief had to say. This was not a random at. This was intentional. And its wrong. Our elected officials are here to do the business of their cities. Now the Associated Press is quoted sources as saying, but the actual target was not paul pelosi, but nancy pelosi, in fact, sources are telling the Associated Press that the suspect came in saying where is nancy . Where is nancy the chief at this News Conference also confirmed that the suspect forced his way into this residence that you see behind me. Through a rear door of the home.
