Find human remains. Those dogs got a couple of slight hits. They say, but really they say what they found could be anything inside that car. So i to mention, continues who buried a car, 45 feet underground on this estate and why and what if anything is inside . We dont know if this is going to be a criminal investigation. Or if this will be a non criminal investigations at that. And police say the vehicle was discovered thursday morning during a landscaping project. Excavation has been under way ever since we were able to open up the trunk and we there were bags of concrete within that wrong and that the vehicle is a convertible. And so the top was off of the convertible and kind of the top was inside of that trunk area. So there wasnt a whole lot of space for anything. Cadaver dogs were brought to the home at 3. 51. Stockbridge avenue. And police say the dogs made a slight notification of possible human remains both thursday and again friday morning, though, at this time, no human remains have been found. It could be human remains. They could be reacting to blood. They could be reacting to. Bones at a News Conference friday afternoon. Police also said what triggered the dogs may have nothing to do with the body. Very been a lot of workers on site because they are going a landscaping project. And so its quite possible it could be a worker who possibly got cut and rip some blood on the ground. It could be someone vomit in the area. Recently. Police say the Mercedes Benz was possibly buried sometime in the 1990s and was reported stolen in september of 1992. The current homeowner did not own the home at that time. Real estate records indicate that from march of 1994 to april of 2014, the home was owned by johnny lou, who Officials Say had years of trouble with the law being convicted back in the late 60s early 70s. A murder and having that conviction for murder, a murder of a overturned by the California Supreme Court subsequent to that. He had in the late 90s. He was arrested here in our county. Not for that, but Insurance Fraud dealing with a yacht that he owned, that hes scuttled and then apply for the insurance proceeds. Lou is not yet been tied to the discovery of the buried car, but that troubled background he has has created a lot of speculation among neighbors were just waiting to hear whats in the car. He was accused of plotting to sink his 1 Million Dollar yacht in the San Francisco bay. So he could collect insurance money. Police say he paid some people to sink the boat right outside the golden gate bridge. Turns out the people he hired. Were undercover agents, but its history with crime goes back even further in 1966. Jurors convicted lieu of murder in los angeles. He served 3 years a little more than a decade later. He spent another 3 years in prison for attempted murder. The San Mateo County District Attorney says lou died in 2015 after 10 police have not mentioned if theres any definite connection between lou and the buried car. However, police say it was buried sometime in the 90s, 4 to 5 feet below the ground and right now, the family who currently lives at that mansion. Another big story this evening, San Jose State University confirmed that the 18 yearold man who was killed by a school bus this morning was a member of the universitys Football Team. A camden mug, right . He was pronounced dead at the scene of that accident. Investigators say it been riding a scooter when he was hit. Just before 7 oclock friday morning, a San Jose Unified School district bus carrying 14 students collided with an 18 yearold man riding a scooter to school bus was traveling east on read the time california Highway Patrol officer ross lee says the man was riding north on 10th street when he was hit at reid street based on some witness other information is available to us at this very preliminary stage. Does appear that the school had a green light. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened just a few blocks away from San Jose State University. And the university confirms freshman running back camden, mike, right is the person who died. The schools website says he was a 2 time league mvp for his high school in panama city, california. In a statement san jose state head football coach Brent Brennan says, quote, we lost an amazing young man tragically this morning, camden had a Bright Future ahead of him. And everyone in this community that had the opportunity to spend time with him knew that camden will always be in our hearts and he will be profoundly missed. University president steve perez also released a statement saying, quote, the loss of our student is heartbreaking and devastating for our san jose state community. We grieve for camden, his family, friends, teammates and the spartan family. The University Says it is making counselors available to students to help them through this difficult time. The Football Team scheduled road game at new mexico state saturday has been postponed due to the spartans loss. Meanwhile, the chp says the students and the bus ranging from 14 to 17 years old were not injured. They were escorted onto another bus to leave the scene. The Los Gatos Union School District has agreed to pay 5 Million Dollars to 2 man sexually abused by an Elementary School teacher. A judge sentenced joseph kolb, too. 35 years in prison last november for molesting former students of blossom hill elementary. Victim was abused in early 2020. He will get a settlement of 900,000. Another victim was abused in 2008, 2009. He will get 4. 2 Million Dollars. In the east bay, firefighters are investigating a fire at what caused a fire that tore through a former restaurant in concord broke out early this morning at the former imperial Seafood Restaurant thats on willow. Pass road. The restaurant hasnt been in business for several years. And firefighters say plywood used to board up the building, made the fire more rifficult to contain. In the north bay narcotics, detectives seized more than 72 pounds of meth from a man in santa rosa. 28 yearold jose sanchez was arrested yesterday at his home. Know the super chavez market. 2 guns were found in his home. Sanchez has now been charged with possession of a controlled substance and firearms. He had several warrants, including a probation violation and a dui. The city of saint helena has an Emergency Water conservation request. This is because of a problem with the stone bridge. Wells pump. It stopped working wednesday. Its going to take the city about 2 weeks to fix that problem. They figure the public works. Director says the 2 stone bridge wells provide a big part of the citys water supply. And the fact one of them is now not working will mean a much lower water capacity. I think as early as tomorrow afternoon, even today we watched some of those winds begin to pick up. Weve had some 20 some 30 mile an hour gusts around the bay area overnight tonight. Well see those subside just slightly and then really ramp up by tomorrow afternoon, 30 40 mile an hour gust toward the beaches. But watch what happens on sunday. But republicans sharply criticized the program for being too expensive. Federal courts dismissed 2 republican led challenge is to the program on thursday. The fbi office in San Francisco is warning the public of the potential for criminals to defraud people who are seeking federal student loan forgiveness. The agency says scammers will try to collect personal information, Financial Information or payment from potential victims using fraudulent websites, emails, texts and phone calls. The fbi wants the public to know that the u. S. Government will not charge any type of processing fee or require any type of payment up front to have the Student Loans forgiven. Police were called to Antioch High School yesterday after a report of a man senior campus with a gun tucked into his waistband. Officers found him. They found the gun, they say tried to hide it.
