Closer to oakland, daly city, Half Moon Bay all seeing light rainfall right now. This is on and off showers. Embedded in some of the showers is heavy downpours and heavy gusty wind speeds. We will continue to see this rain on and off as we go through the rest of the night. Light rain moving into santa rosa just outside napa and around vallejo. The next part of the system, the first part of their last night, this is the second part you can see that well defined area of low pressure. That will help slide in front of the region picking up our wind speeds and helping to trigger some of these showers here around the bay and also snow in the sierra. Tonight, the city of pacifica is taking a beating from the powerful el nino driven storms. In fact, this video shows how serious the situation is there. And now, the fight is on to save these three homes on sharon way in pacifica. Using backhoes, and dump trucks filled with folders, the city is hoping it will be enough. The erosion process has been a fast one approximately 50 feet in three weeks three weeks. Reporter he works with a Construction Company helping the city. As this years el nino driven storms a pack a powerful punch, pacifica continues to take a beating. During the last storm we showed you where the seawall gave way near the pacific appear, that work is still ongoing. And then this morning, thus, a woman watched her backyard as it was swept away with the tide when as when a bigger wave came pushing through. I ran through here to get to the front, and another wave came by and by that point this whole fence had been completely taken out. Reporter despite so much damage come already, people here fear that the strong el nino stormy season is just getting started. This is going to be a lot worse than it is. I really think we are only seeing the beginning nobody should develop on this land. Reporter the city is hoping it will get some help both on the state and federal level. They are hoping to get more resources in here in order to protect those seawalls and to protect those houses. We will see. We still have a long way to go with this el nino stormy season. As the storm hits the east c oast, according to officials at San Francisco international airport, 159 flights were canceled there today. A majority of them canceled because of the storms on the east coast. Others because of the bad weather locally. Open international had better luck today with only two flight cancellations. The storm is causing a lot of frustration and long lines at airports. Officials say it appears that the bad weather will continue to cause problems, for travelers, throughout the weekend. For people are dead to injured following a School Shooting in canada. A gun man opened fire at a high school at another location in a community in saskatchewan. I suspect is in custody, police say the gun man first shot two of his siblings before killing his daughter, and another person there. A gruesome discovery in southern california. Authorities find a human skull at a store in compton. Officials made that discovery this afternoon after a woman complained about animal cruelty. Officers arrived they found a skull inside a pot. Authorities collected a skull and eight other pots which may also contain skulls. Officials say there is no evidence of homicide, and that the skull may actually have been purchased from a legal source. They believe it may have been used in some sort of religious ceremony. The food giant, dull, is recalling its bagged solids tonight after tracing the source of the poisonous listeria bacteria that killed one person, and second 12 others last s ummer. The bacteria was traced to a factory in ohio. The solids were sold under various brand names including dole fresco selections, simple truth, and market sides. The listeria outbreak was last summer, but the centers for Disease Control says consumers should not take any chances and should throw out any packaged solids, especially with the dole label. That is more of a moderate rain coming down. That will happen around 7 a. M. For oakland as we progress the model you will notice another round of rain south of fairfield right around 1 p. M. This will at least last until 1 p. M. P we might see sunshine and things will start to clear up, but before things clear up our storm impacts on coastal concerns and flood advisories are going to stay in effect until along the coast.
