A collision between a car and motorcyclist closed three lanes of westbound traffic on the bay bridge tonight. This is the scene from earlier tonight shot from treasure island. Were learning now. That all of the lanes are open and cars are moving across the bridge. The accident happened around 9 45 tonight. The accident caused major traffic backup on the upper deck of the bridge. There were injuries but few details have come out at this hour. Well keep you updated as we get more information. But again. All westbound lanes are now open. A devastating fourth of july for several families in the north bay. A fastmoving fire engulfed seven homes in Solano County today. Leaving some families with nothing. Kron4s jeff bush is live where it happened. Jeff . This was the scene on friday afternoon. Devsitation and burning homes on the fourth of july. Seven homes were destroyed, including Elaine Dennis home. She and her family just moved in this week. Elaine dennis home destroyed all of our clothes and everything was in that house. We have nothing. My mom had just got paid. I had just went and did a little house sitting job and got paid. All our money got burned, my cell phone, we dont know if were going to have a phone, we dont have clothes. My pets, i could save but their food was in the house. Elaine was able to save the family dog but her other pets didnt make it. Elaine i couldnt handle the smoke anymore and i still ahd guinnie pigs and hamsters in my room and i came running outside and i tried to tell the Fire Department and i just found out that they didnt even try to go inside to save them. And, i was getting burned by the fire and i have burned places on my dress from it. Elaine was scared her dad was hurt. Elaine hes about to undergo neck surgery so when he first came inside, all i heard was screaming and i couldnt make out what he was saying and i thought he fell and might have really hurt his neck. As fireworks lit up the skies all over the bay. This was the scene from pier 39 in San Francisco. Where one of the biggest Fireworks Shows took place. People starting lining up this afternoon to get a good spot to watch the show. Some 10thousand fireworks were set off tonight. In a dazzling patriotic display. And in the north bay. A beautiful evening for july4th celebrations in san rafael. Clear night skies made for great views. For thousands of people who watched the show at the marin county fair. This was the view from pleasanton. As thousands of people gathered at the Alameda County fairgrounds. Earlier in the day, people enjoyed food and festivities at the fair. And ended the day with a exciting show. And in san jose. This was the first Fireworks Show in downtown since 2008. The show was made possible by the san jose rotary club. As well as by support from city and county leaders. It was a difficult holiday for two people forced out of their home tonight after fire broke out in daly city. It started on Camelot Court around one oclock this afternoon. A car parked at the residence. Caught fire for unknown reasons. Gusting winds spread flames to the home. Kron four spoke with a man who lives there who says. He wasnt even aware the fire was burning, until firefighters came bursting through his door. Fortunately no one was hurt. The red cross is helping the two residents find a temporary home. The cause is still under investigation. Firefighters continue to battle the north bay fire this evening. But are making progress in containing the flames. 43hundred acres burned. And crews now have the fire 65 percent contained. The fire started tuesday afternoon in napa county and spread to lake county. Two residences and seven outbuildings have been destroyed. Evacuation orders have been lifted. The exact cause. Still under investigation. There is a bay area connection to an incident that led to angry protests in East Jerusalem today. The protests there followed the funeral of a 16 yearold palestinian boy who was kidnapped and murdered on wednesday. At least 13 israelis, and some 30 palestinians were injured in clashes. And now. Police are investigating whether the teens death was retaliation for the killings of three israeli teens three weeks ago. Believed kidnapped by the radical group hamas. The slain teenagers name is mohammed abu khdeir. In santa clara tonight members of the Muslim Community and cousins of khdeir came out to pay tribute with a candle light memorial. Posters of khdeir, signs and palestinian flags crowded the corner of Stevens Creek and winchester boulevards. Khdeirs family members say he was a happy, otugoing person. Family members of abu khdier say he was was full of energy. He was always telling jokes, laughing around, very kind hearted, always making people laugh. So, like i said, its very sad that he had to be, you know, taken at such a young age. No one deserves to die like that no one.
