Police completed their search of the terminal just before midnight and in the end removed several suspicious packages. The airport did tweet this morning. Normal operations had resumed. Service at the sfo. Bart station was also back up and running. Police say they did detain a man for questioning, but they have not made any arrests so far. Now the latest on some fires that have been burning here in Northern California and Yosemite National park crews there are gaining ground against the washburn fire, which is now 37 contained. It has grown another 100 acres over the past. 24 hours, park Officials Say residents of the community of wawona can return to their homes beginning tomorrow morning. The famed Mariposa Grove of mature sequoias will remain closed for now. But that fire has been contained in that area. Officials are asking people who do not live in that area yearround to wait at least several days to come back. Crews say they are making good progress. Meanwhile, in extinguishing the marsh fire in pittsburgh, firefighters are flooding that area trying to put out the fire smoldering deep in the pete there. Multiple pumps were added overnight. But were seeing some northwesterly wind so that offshore flow creating some haze right there along our bay area coastline. So moderate air particles out there over that this evening. But lets take a look at air quality tomorrow because we are going to notice some much needed relief, a cooler and stronger sea breeze out of the west, 30 miles per hour. Less is going to give us improved air quality for most of the bay area. Still going to range of that moderate to poor range, though, unfortunately, freeze contra costa counties until they get a full handle on that marsh fire. Authorities say that the powerful storm caused a 21 vehicle pileup on the interstate. This is near the border with wyoming. The crash shutting down traffic on the interstate, but it has since reopened. Meanwhile, flash flooding outside of denver, colorado killed at least 2 people.
