From anger steve steve from anger to sadness. A range of emotions today for raiders nation. pam today nfl owners voted to give the go ahead to a raiders move to las vegas. Tonight we are tracking reaction from fans, players and the city of oakland. steve first kron4s mark carpenter is live in phoenix in arizona. Where that vote was taken at the nfl owners meeting. pam mark whats next . The sound of that upset fan. Much different from what unfolded here tonight at the biltmore. The owners held a reception that ended with a grand fireworks show. Of course, we cant forget the fireworks from this morning. When the league approved a move to las vegas. For longtime raider fans, theyve seen this movie before. This is similar to when al davis took the raiders to los angeles. 35years later his son mark. Has found a new home for the silver and black in las vegas. My father used to say that the greatness of the raiders is in its future and the opportunity to build a world class stadium in the entertainment capital of the world is one opportunity that will give us the ability to achieve that greatness. One of the other intriguing moments of that press conference came when davis was asked what was the turning point between he and the city of oakland. He has said before that oakland has done nothing in this process. And much of that resentment stems from what happened in january 2016. When the team was trying to move to los angeles and oakland had a chance to make a presentation. They came in with a fivepage piece of paper that had nothing to do with anything and they claimed that they would wait for us to lose the vote and then come back and theyd have all the leverage. We lost the vote. We came back to oakland. We negotiated a oneyear lease with the two years of options and talked about getting together and talked about a long term future together. A week later i got a call from the county, one of the county board of supervisors to tell me mark, im sorry, but the lease we just negotiated, the three years of leases, are not gonna be valid and we need to raise the rent three times on you. Its important to note that the raiders called this a conditional approval. Meaning there are certain conditions that need to be taken care. Such as the raiders need to finalize a stadium site in las vegas and work out a lease agreement. As to whether that leaves an opening for oakland to get back in the came, most likely not. Mark carpenter kron 4 news steve the city of oakland was quick to respond. Oakland City Council President larry reid and oakland mayor libby schaaf opened up just minutes after we learned the team got approval to move to las vegas. One was light brown and the other was dark brown. And the dark one looked like a donkey. As traffic slowed to a crawl his nanny worried jameson wouldnt make it to school on time or worsei was scared i would hit them or they would hit my car. For horse lover erin newlin a diffefrent concern came to mind when her daughter called as she watched them get onto the on ramp. I panicked i had my husband run out to check our horses were okay. When she learned they werent hers she jumped into action to help wrangle the animals. I quickly grabbed a bucket of grain, a halter and lead line and jumped in the car but i didnt see them. Newlin says its unusual for a horse to run toward commotion like a freeway. If theyre extremely scared they run and they try to get away from fear so obviously they were frightened. She added there arent as many horse owners as there once were in alamo. And so far the mystery of where the two escaped from remains. At this point we dont know what happened to the horse or the mule after authorities ended up wrangling both of them. Thats where people come together and dance or enjoy some other form of entertainment. steve but there is another type of flash mob and its of the behaving badly type, this one happened in San Francisco and it was caught on security camera. This is the shampoo isle at the king street safeway in San Francisco and what you are witnessing is a flash mob, no they are not dancing type this group is basically stripping the shelves of its product this group of about 7 is filling backpacks and large bags with the high end shampoos and anything else they can grab. One man was carrying tide pod laundry container, he sits them on the ground and begins to grab other items off the shelves and places them in a bag just as quickly as they arrive they bolt form the store it lasted about 56 seconds but wait theres more here is video of an attack. The man in the glasses is a manager at the same safeway and he is attempting to stop a group of people from doing the same thing. As more people approach he extends his arms out to keep them for going any further, however the man in the backpack motions more people to get involved and then they begin to attack the manager its a full on attack until a bystander the man in the blue jacket gets involved to help the store manager it also appears that a Security Guard also got involved to help fend off the attack according to workers at this safeway the two videos i just showed you is an everyday occurrence. No one at the store willing to go on camera for fear of getting fired but i found a witness who has seen similar events just some kid walked in the door went into the toothpaste isle and must have loaded 20 thirty tubes of toothpaste into his backpack i reached out to safeways cooperate offices and they sent me this response safeway is taking this matter seriously. The safety and security of our customers and employees is a matter of great concern to safeway we employ a number of security measures at our stores, including visible deterrents and others that are not immediately apparent. We are conducting a thorough investigation of the incident that occurred involving a safeway employee. In the meantime, we can say the employee involved in the incident is okay. however, people who work at this safeway say they are working in fear every day because if they attempt to confront the crowd they become violent and as you can see in one of the videos they attack the workers witnesses say its the same group every day and they take tide soap packets , toothpaste, alcohol and coffee often clearing the shelves in fact while i was there, employees recovered baby formula, from these two shown here leaving the store with empty bags.
