Danon were waiting for the monthly jobs report to come out, but adp had a really great jobs report. The private processor. Rob right, and these numbers were delayed a week because february is too short to collect all the data. We added 298thousand jobs in the month. About 130thousand more than expected. And it wasnt just one area; it was manufacturing, it was construction, it was mining, it was health care jobs. Its the first true month that trump has been able to now claim hes made america great. Heres the negative ramification of this. Fridays job report will be strong. That will allow the fed next week to say were raising Interest Rates, were doing 3 times this year, maybe 4times this year. It was a big number this year and thats a game changer. A lot of things drive wall street right now tax cuts, potential job creation, infrastructure spending, but higher Interest Rates is negative. It means youre going to pay more for your home if youre going to buy it. Youre going to pay more if yooure going to refinance a home. Youre going to pay more on your credit card and that slows down economies, and that ultimately leads to a recession. So what is good is sometimes bad. Danon okay and Mortgage Rates, well theyre starting to go up as you mentioned with Interest Rates and we saw a surge in mortgage applications. Where do you see the Mortgage Market going on here in the bay area. Rob back to that first story, where Interest Rates are moving higher. Already anticipation of good jobs numbers. The Mortgage Rates in the u. S. Have started to move higher. A 3oyear fixed sits at about fourpoint36 percent right now. A jumbo at fourpointtwoseven percent. Its lower than the fixed because use a lot of private money for that and 15year mortgages sit at threepointfive percent. To afford a home, more people are going to adjustable rate mortgages. The percentage of arms as theyre called, jumps from sevenpointthreepercent to sevenpointsevenpercent and the average five one. So you own the mortgage for five years. Threepointthree percent which is much more affordable than the four and a half percent that you see in another 30. Danon but in five years you may be in trouble . Rob you hope that the feds dont raise the Interest Rates for five years in a row or you hope that you sell. Coming upwhy you going so fast, oh please dont, i dont want my wife to see you dont want your wife seeing it a pedestrian and Bicycle Safety crackdown in Mountain View seemed to have one common theme. Ill explain in the next edition of people behaving badly catherine when pedestrians get caught they claim the countdown timer is confusing when bicyclists get caught they claim the intersection is designed wrong steve and when drivers get caught they claim the light was bad but Stanley Roberts has found one common theme while tagging along with Mountain View police. This is my earlier one this is to make sure that im like 10 minutes earlier the next one i take ill be 15 minutes late. That is a reason why people put themselves in often dangerous situations believe it or not all the education and engineering by cities like Mountain View cant fix poor time management thats where enforcement is used as another tool to educate pedestrians and drivers i really needed to make that but thats fine so now the rider will be 15 minutes late plus a written reminder in the form of a ticket for the future nats ambiance after focusing on the Castro Moffett blvd intersection, Mountain ViewPolice Department moved their attention to shoreline blvd but not before sound of engine reving lt jaeger spots this driver ignoring one the basic traffic laws. You know whay i stopped you . Ok you were going a little too fast if you have to accelerate to get through the light thats going to be a problem ok do you have your drivers licence the driver who just finished a golf game was late for a meeting. He was more less worried about the cost of the ticket and more worried about why you going so fast, oh please dont, i dont want my wife to see you dont want your wife seeing it see the pattern, everyone is in a rush. So ill say it again you cant engineer around poor time management. No matter if youre in a car on foot or riding a bicycle which puts us on north shoreline and pear near google focusing on Bicycle Safety, but some reason when you place two Police Motors on the corner all of the cyclist become model citizensnats ambiance well almost all. This rider blew through the red light closely followed by a blue and red lights right now weer doing bike enforcement the reason you are being stopped is for the red light i was running late for something. So what event was he late for that would cause him to throw caution into the wind i was meeting up with a trainer that s an expensist ting to be late for so i deserve it oh well so why not get up earlier and meet the trainer . it was cold. But i think my biggest question is why is he being so polite to me im canadian the city of Mountain View are always looking the three es of Traffic Safety engineeering, education and if all else fails enforcement every contact with officers could have been avoided if pedestrians, cyclist, and drivers followed the rules remember we are all in this together in Mountain ViewStanley Roberts kron 4 news steve all across the world women took to the streets to celebrate International Womens day.
