A disgraced icon of San Franciscos Gay Community is sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography. 67 year old Larry Brinkin pleading guilty to felony child pornography possession. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors dropped a child porn distribution charge against him. Brinkin retired in 2010 after working for San Franciscos Human Rights Commission for 22 years. The board of supervisors passed a resolution in 2010 proclaiming Larry Brinkin week in San Francisco because of his work advocating for lgbt residents. Despite the conviction, brinkin will still receive his city pension. A former bay area symphony and he could go to prison for a long time. Stephen carlton used to be the executive director of the peninsula symphony association. Hes accused of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from the group.
