happened early yesterday morning when the girl this 13 year-old girl and her 80 month-old brother were home alone sleeping. it was the middle of the night when a 14 year-old boy got inside of the home and started stabbing the girl stabbed her three times then sexually assaulted her and then during the attack and all the nose noise and commotion the 18 month old baby woke up and the teenager stabbed him at least 10 times. the girl finally managed to escape run into a neighbor's home where she called police. >> we responded they both have multiple stab wounds they were transported to the hospital in sacramento where they are expected to survive. >> when officers arrived the 14 year-old was inside of the home he faces attempted homicide as well as rape charges. we spoke with his mother and she wouldn't go on camera she says she's in shock. she said she last saw him about 1:00 a.m. sunday and he was drunk. they are looking for most of they say the suspect knew the victims older brother. >> a and sexually assaulted her during the attack the 18 month old little brother woke up and the teenager stabbed him 10 times. the girl escaped iran to a neighbor's home and called police. when they arrived the 14 year-old was in the home he faces attempted homicide and rape charges authorities are looking for a motive. the suspect knew the victims brother. >> many is fighting to get their
