But since that time, the Feather River has receded so far and so fast, that this entire area has fallen down into the river for miles. Brad foster if you can imagine a 20foot wall with water up against it completely saturated and then you remove that wall. This ground, literally, flowed in like applesauce. Brad foster also blames the department of Water Resources for the collapse of this riverbank near his marysville walnut orchard. He said the sudden shutdown of the oroville dam spillway caused the supersaturated riverbanks to rip apart. Brad foster when the water goes away quickly, it literally sucks the bank in with it.
