The ntsb also noted that it took 95 minutes for pg e to shut off the flow of natural gas. 2012 the California Public untilies comission which regulates the utility orders pg e to pay 635 million to update outdated pipelines. 2013 cpuc staff. Recommends pg e be fined two and a quarter billion dollars for violations related to the disaster. 2014 earlier this year. Federal criminal charges are filed against the utility. If convicted.
