Shes been missing since last week. Sherry fermenting disappeared while on a jog on wednesday. Investigators say she texted her husband earlier that day. When he returned, she was nowhere to be found she had not picked up two kids from daycare. Her husband tracked her iphone and founded on a road. Searchers have scoured the area and turned up nothing. Have family believes she was abducted. She was last seen in a pink jogging suit. We are also learning more about the suspects arrested for the brutal murder of shares volunteer, call the ramirez. Lets head to the south bay where amanda ithis morning after his car crashed into a tree and caught fire in santa clara. This happened around noon on sunday near the intersection of homestead road and san tomas expressway. The driver was in a 2010 chevy camaro. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers say the camaro and another car had been racing, reaching speeds of over 100. When the cars came to a spotlight, investigators say the camaro swerved right, striking the sidewalk in the tree the car then caught on fire. The other car allegedly involved fled the scene. In the east bay police are searching for a gunman after multiple shootings in oakland. The first happened around 1 am on 13th street near the 12th street bart station. That was on sunday. Officers that a gunman shot and unoccupied car. The suspect in that case. The second shooting was around 2 am on holly street. One block east of international boulevard. Chp officers are trying to figure out what made him shoot a gun on the freeway. A little bit of road rage may creep into the best of us but this case got out of hand. Its a regular thing that happens. What to get that far . Reporter telephone you have a patrol got a call at 9 pm saturday about a car trying to force another off the road on northbound 680. They got another call from people who had been shot at on the freeway. Thinks can start from the littlest thing to something major. Reporter within minutes chp from the suspects car and tried to pull it over but the driver would not be kept going north for miles. The pursuit went into walnut creek when the vehicle exited at Ygnacio Valley road. Went toward the bart parsing lot. Officer reed said eventually j marc ross parked his car and started complying with officer orders. Delta connection driver leon current was not at the bart station when ross was arrested but his work takes him of their regularly. I feel safe here however i would not want to get caught in the middle of road rage. Reporter fortunately, no one was hurt in the shooting or the case. Bullets did hit the outside of one car. Now ross is the Alameda County jail on several charges and is scheduled to appear in court on tuesday. Officer reed said this is an example of how quickly road rage can spiral out of control. A fairfield woman who said she was stocked is safe this morning thanks to her quick thinking. Alicia reid spoke with police and has details on the weapon the stalker was allegedly carrying. Reporter when the woman pulled up to her garage on pennsylvania avenue, she realized a man and a pickup truck had been following her. It was very strange. Reporter instead of stopping, she kept going. Demand followed. The wouldbe victim eventually parked, ran inside her home and called 911. This is a frightening event because it is so out of the ordinary. We dont have stuff like this happen a lot. But when it does its cause for concern. Reporter that man was anthony valencia. Who police say had a machete, math, any meth pipe in his truck. And who knows what he was giving to do with all that. Reporter as police pulled up the suspect started driving away. After a brief struggle he was placed under arrest and thrown in jail. He is being charged with stalking, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to commit assault, possession of a controlled substance and violating his probation out of yolo county. Aixa diaz Sonoma State University are reminding students to be safe after a body of a teenager was found on campus with one stab wound. Reporter investigators do not have a suspect in this case. Thats alarming for students at Sonoma State University who told me they dont feel safe. And this wooded area at the edge of the sonoma state campus is where University Employees found the body of Kirk Kimberly. Its scary being on campus now. Not knowing who did that. Reporter kimberlys body was found wednesday in a shallow grave in a rugged area filled with trees and brush at the edge of campus. This is a video of the scene from our helicopter partnership with abc 7. Kimberly was reported missing on a over 17. Investigators say he was stabbed several times. Students say the school has been emailing them, keeping them updated on the investigation. Our csa and our dorms on campus have made it a point to give us safety tips on what we can do differently to be aware of our surroundings and trust your instincts if you think something is going wrong. But nothing concrete. Like they will have more security or police patrolling. Reporter investigators have made a point of saying kimberly was not a student at the university but that does not make the students feel safer. Police in gilroy are looking for a man who allegedly pulled a knife of someone inside a safeway. Officials say it happened when the two were in a road rage incident last sunday. Or after, two men were in a safeway after the confrontation escalated. One man without a small folding knife and threatened to stab the other man. Officials are still looking for the man in question. They were able to capture this picture of him and his truck from Surveillance Video. He was last seen leaving the safeway parking lot. If you know who he is, police would like to know. Hundreds of runners came together for the golden gate Half Marathon in San Francisco. Avery harper spoke with the winner and was there to capture all the action. Reporter on a foggy sunday morning in the marina, thousands of runners got on the road for a 13 mile run. The golden gate Half Marathon. Runners representing 47 states and 30 different nations took on San Franciscos hills before heading to the Golden Gate Bridge. Its a beautiful course. Lots of fun. Rate people. Lots of energy. Thats when Berkeley Police shut down their encampment on fairview and adaline. I can say about 85 of us that were down there are here. Weve also grown in numbers. We have more support coming out and staying with us. Reporter people like adam who came from modesto to support the protesters. He said the city should leave encampments alone. If people like this had a place where they could stay without being evicted, they could start to build something and they could start to recover. If people have a sense of safety and security in their own personal space, when youre being chased around in the streets day after day but the police saying you have no rights, to suffer and survive, its oppressive. Those in favor of the measure say it stipulates in the language it is written, the money is guaranteed to be used for repair and upgrading the system. Something they say is desperately needed. Measure r r and prop rrrequires a 2 3 vote. It needs the benchmark in all three counties or did the doesnt pass. On the state level, problem 64. The one that deals with marijuana legalization. Yes vote would legalize it in the state for those 21 and older. Impose a 50 sales on pot sales and reorganize sentencing and ex punking the prior pot convictions that are on the books. Now the measure would create two new taxes. It is important to know. One on cultivation and one on retail price. Revenue from the taxes would be spent on drug research. Treatment and enforcement and preventing any environmental damage resulting from illegal marijuana production. There are presume against this of course and some of the arguments center around the degree gradedation of the community, a proposition they say would result in more highway fatalities. Impaired driving and allow marijuana growing near schools and pa parks. And that would erode local control. Those are two things voting on. And that is parole. And that is the other proposition that is in opposition to this. Prop 66. That one would reform the Death Penalty procedures and review time reviews. It would allow inmates to be transferred between facilities and work and pay restitution. Main take away is that problem 62 would ban the Death Penalty my. 66 would keep it in place and speed up the process. You have to decide for yourself. One or two men shot two others. Injuries so significant that the two died. The Police Arrived and the shooters were gone, but they were able to talk to witnesses. Police got a call about a car trying to force another off the road. Then another call that people had been shot at on the freeway. When they tried to pull the suspect over, he took off and led them on a high police chase. They were able to arrest the driver and nobody was hurt in the shooting for the chase.
