arrest. >>justine: a new report has just been released by a police group that is showing the number of u.s. law- enforcement officers killed in the line of duty this year has gone up 13% from the year before. these are coming from the national law enforcement officers memorial fund, they just released a report this morning that issuing 173 officers died in a line of duty across the nation. that is up from 153 deaths in 2002 in. are there was a rise in the number of a death caused by firearms in all 68 federal, state and local officers were killed by gunfire in 2011. that is up 15% from last year. the group chairman says the reason for these numbers is because of drastic budget cuts that have forced some departments to cut back on training and delay upgrading the equipment. >> darya: the or delays, we're looking at a pretty good commute unfolding for the ride towards the upper deck of the bay bridge. also force the sad tale bridge highway 92, the midway transit is without problems. over to 101 and 10192 interchange is very clear. looking at 101 and your ride through marin county there are no delays getting to the golden gate bridge. we have lighter than usual traffic heading across the span. now the road sensors are down but if we pick our traffic map looking at the east they conditions, there are no real delays of concord as you head down towards walnut creek ore into the san ramon valley. south bay freeways look good through san jose for both 101 and 85. and you're north bay ride from a bottle to the golden gate bridge is still clocking in at about 23 minutes. >> darya: the time now is six 06 a.m.. and stopping the port of oakland from being shut down in the future is a situation that the congress is taking seriously. he does not want this to happen again as
