Sparks police have identified him as 38 year old Sergio Alvarado morales. Officers say it all started with a traffic incident involving four, possibly five vehicles. Officers also confirm alvardomorales was armed with a knife and threatening to harm himself. One officer tried to subdue him. Using a taser. But that didnt work, according to officers on scene. This is a big move. According to the American Psychological association, one in seven women experiences postpartum depression. About 50 of those, its their First Episode of depression ever. The same percentage also start to experience these symptoms during pregnancy. Its not just the postpartum period. Screening is so important. This is a time when women experience many hormonal changes. How do you differentiate between the baby blues versus postpartum depression. We generally say the baby blues should last up to two weeks or so. Again, its not a definite at day 15 you should feel okay. If youre not, you have it. The symptoms would be the same that you can experience during regular depression. That is, sadness, crying, depressed mood, loss of interest in doing things that would normally make you happy.
