He did these amazing portraits in brooklyn heights. He showed him the places he liked to go. They only used 4 pictures from the shoot, people on the street in brooklyn heights. None of capote. It was stuck in envelopes and shoved in a closet. Even though the essay has been reprinted, the photographs were gone. I felt they were pictures of brooklyn taken by someone who knew and cared about brooklyn. Rockland captured by a son of brooklyn. There is tenderness in the view in the way that he shows the children on the street, old couples on stoops, guys outside of the civic club. It is an affectionate portrait of that time.
