Cbs news has learned President Trump told his secretary of defense, attorney general, and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff that he wanted to put 10,000 activeduty troops into the streets last monday morning, as soon as possible, after a weekend of violent protests. Sources tell cbs news that demand came during a contentious meeting in the oval office, in which members of the president s cabinet pushed back.
