They had to rescue a 15year old from the window. Her brother was throwing dogs out of the home and then jumped out himself. Firefighters estimate there were about 20 pit bulls on the property. Once the flames were doused, a battalion chief walked over to the teenage girl they rescued to interview her. He approached the girl that was holding the dominant dog. That was the one that had a leash on. She was not holding it firmly. It was not tight. And, he asked if it was secure. As he approached, the dog jumped and bit him in the face.
