This morning a strong winter storm is targeting the south as the northeast prepares for more snow and shivers and dangerous recordbreaking temperatures. There are winter storm warnings stretching from oklahoma to North Carolina. In the northeast subzero air temperatures have triggered windchill warnings. This fountain froze solid in new york where the windchill is expected to 20 degrees below zero today and another round of snow is expected tomorrow. In North Carolina tonights expect snow and ice was preceded by winds that snapped trees. At least one fell on top of a home but no one injured. And the salt trucks are out up to 9 inches of snow forecast for tennessee, arkansas and missouri. Up to 4 inches of snow is possible in georgia. But nothing compares to massachusetts where theres so much snow folks dont know what to do. In boston another foot fell yesterday on top of the six feet thats fallen over the last month.
