This morning, there seems to be disagreement over whether the st. Louis rams apologized for the actions of five players concerning the ferguson shooting. Now, the players entered the field on sundays game with their hands raised as a shine of solidarity for protesters. Police were outraged. Late yesterday a st. Louis police chief said that a rams official called to apologize. But rams executive kevin demoff said he never apologized. Rams coach jeff fisher said he didnt know beforehand what the players had planned. They made a choice to exercise their free speech yesterday. I have not spoken to them yet, i will. And those conversations will most likely remain confidential. Neither the team or the nfl will discipline the players. This morning, a powerful storm is rolling off the pacific ready to hit california with floodproducing rains. The storm moved in overnight and is expected to reach full force later on today. Up to 5 inches expected in the mountains and 1 to 2 inches in downtown los angeles. There are fears that the rain may trigger more mudslides like the one that closed the ninemile stretch of the Pacific Coast highway sunday. The risk is particularly high in foothills where recent wildfires have burned away vegetation. Rachel kim of our los angeles stations has that part of the story. Officers say the couple had him hiding in a fake wall in a storage room when police burst their home. Smith said before friday, it had been one year since she talked to her son and she didnt know his address. The teen had gone to visit his father four years ago and wasnt allowed to go back home. Then last friday, she received a friend request from him on facebook. Thats when he gave her his address and told her about the abuse hed been enduring. Smith said the couple basically used her son as a slave. Gregory said he did all of the yard work and all of the cleaning. After hearing this, the mother called police right away. At the same time, gregory found a phone in the home with no service and used his computer skills to call his mother and in realtime led police to where he was hidden.
