Id prefer and still prefer to see it done through congress, but every day that i wait, were misallocating resources, were deporting people that shouldnt be deported, were not deporting folks who are dangerous and should be deported. The president also discussed the midterm elections and why he thinks the republicans won big. So there is a femalure in politics that weve got to improve on. The president says he hasnt been persuasive enough and takes responsibility for the weak democratic showing. Now, the president also said his decision to send an additional 1,500 troops into iraq shows that the battle with isis is entering a new phase.
