The cabin he was hiding out in, and we dont know for how long, it could have been for some time, was actually across the street from the Police Command post where theyd been running this operation from. Reporter dorner is believed to have killed four people since february 3rd. He posted a manifesto on facebook claiming he was seeking revenge for being fired from the lapd. Until the remains can be positively identified, the lapd says that they will continue protective details on 50 families. Officers and their families who are named in the manifesto that dorner wrote, and those protective details will last, again, until the body is positively identified. We begin with some breaking news from southern california. The manhunt for a former cop appears to be over. Fugitive Christopher Dorner is believed to have died after a shootout in a cabin near big bear. Youre looking at some video right now of the s. W. A. T. Team moving in. Forensic testing is going to determine if the remains found in that burnedout cabin are those of dorner. They have to test it. The cabin caught fire after it was surrounded by officers. This all happened in the angeles oaks area. This is of San Bernardino county. Thats just south of Big Bear Lake about 20 miles from where dorners burning truck was found last week.
