So far this year, according to the officer down memorial page, 56 Law Enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty. And that includes the officer who died today. So from fissure 20 we tracked its flow three miles to here, where the hot river pours into the pacific ocean. When the lava hits the ocean behind me, it creates a hazard called laze, all this hot steam and sulfuric acid, which is poisonous and burns on contact. We dont want to get any closer. The wind could shift at any time. Experts worry the laze cloud could travel 15 miles, another worry for emergency officials along with flying lava bombs that can weigh as much as refrigerators. Glor two escaped murder suspects remain on the loose tonight after a weekend jail break in south carolina. Police say that Tyshon Johnson and curtis green may be armed and dangerous. Reporter jeff, the brazen escape took less than ten minutes to play out here saturday night. Three inmates threw blankets over the barbed wire. They jumped the fence and quickly took off running toward the woods. Cbs news has learned the escape happened after an electrical shortage opened cell doors in one section of the jail. About 40 inmates filed into a common area. A few inmates took advantage of the situation and jumped one of the guards, kicking, punching, and blasting his face with the guards pepper spray. A massive manhunt is still under way for two of the men, Tyshon Johnson and curtis green. Both were in jail charged with separate murders. Sunday police recaptured christopher boltin, who was jailed for carjacking. He was arrested about 18 miles north of here along with his father, who assisted him.
