It would not only protect nearly two million young immigrants here illegally from deportation, it would put them on a path to citizenship. But the president wants something in return. On capitol hill, senators working on their own immigration compromise called the president s shift an encouraging sign. The framework would scale back the Visa Lottery Program and limit Legal Immigration through family ties.
